UMUAHIA - THE Buhari South East Youth Movement [BSEYM] has accused the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] of working against the emergence of President of Igbo extraction.

According to the group, by its recent zoning, PDP has
automatically ruled out the possibility an Igbo man becoming the President of Nigeria, saying that singular act has shown that the party does not regard Ndigbo.

BSEYM, in a statement therefore called on Ndigbo, especially the youths and women, to reject PDP, which it alleged “has greatly improvised the zone in their 16 years of misrule”.

The group urged South members of the party to withdraw their membership of the party in totality, claiming that the party has nothing good for them.

In the statement jointly signed by BSEYM’s director general Engr. Nwabueze Onwuneme and the publicity secretary, Comrade Igwe Samuel Obinna, it said PDP’s zoning of the Presidency to the North ahead of 2019 “goes to show the disdain the PDP has for the people of the zone”.

The statement further said that the zoning “seriously goes against the spirit of justice, fairness and equity in the rotation of power between the North and South”.

According to the group, “peradventure the PDP succeeds, it will extend the Igbo Presidency project to year 2027 from the earlier year 2023 been projected for the emergence of a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction, which would now leave the North there for twelve years as against eight years been projected by the APC”.

Urging Ndigbo to reject PDP, the group noted that “by the end of President Muhammad Buhari’s second tenure it will then be ripe for the Igbos as the only ethnic nationality in southern Nigeria yet to produce an elected President after both the South-west and south-south have all had their shots on the Presidency of the nation”.

undecided If igbos should reject PDP because they were not given the presidential ticket, but rather made to be the vice president?. What then is igbos still doing in a divisive party like apc? Which considers ndigbo in apc as inconsequential, hence the tag 5% . Or the hatred and total rejection of igbos tribe by buhari, who never deem them human enough to warrant any ministerial or notable post in his cabinet.

Where then lies the senses of these morally depraved igbo political jobbers in apc?. Isn't there a saying that a half a loaf of bread is better than non?

Under pdp igbos has attained every political post in the land, except presidency, which in due time will come, if this forced marriage still remain in one piece.
Apc is not for the igbos and igbos are not for apc, the earlier igbos understand this the better for them.

Did this group read this document b4 releasing it.
APC of all parties. That buhari has been using for target practise by his security outfits.

They should ask this group what they are smoking. Very necessary. So we will know the right treatment togive them. Uselu or Yabaleft.

As if they themselves APC want an Igbo president. Stupd set of politicians, the worst thing that happened to the planet is politics, people don't even understand what on earth means, politics is an occupation, it's people's business yet people still think their is a better politicians, they're all the same, both Buhari, GEJ, obj, Yara'dua all ov them!

Buhari said he borrowed money to buy APC ticket and u all couldn't bother to ask how the hell someone who claims to be broke was gonna get 27m to pay back.

I hate politics, the only reason I can vie for a political post is to destroy that stupd occupation, arrest all of them. Imagine how they're all politicizing Boko haram and some people even think it's better during this administration cos of the way they suppressed the media.

Now APC is telling Nigerians PDP don't support Igbo presidency as if they themselves support Igbos.

PDP is not against an Igbo presidency. It is just that they are being very pragmatic. If they must win in 2019, they must win a high number of votes in the North. And if a Northern presidency does it...so be it.

Which leads me to the touchy subject of Igbo presidency. Igbo options at 2015 were to say the least spotty.

1.A GEJ win means a Northern president come 2019....meaning Igbos wait till 2027.

2.A Buhari win means a a Northern president till 2023...meaning Igbos wait till 2023.

3.Buhari loses in 2019 to a PDP Northern president...meaning wait till 2027.

The best option for Igbos is to back Buhari in 2019...and hope they get APC ticket in 2023...also hoping PDP too gies Igbis ticket in 2023.

4.Yorubas decide in 2023 that they want another shot...ie Fahsola/El Rufai (Muslim Muslim....but hey, it worked for MKO.And Fashola'ssiblings are Christian)...or Jagaban/Matan Jagaban 2023 (just kidding)....that could make things complicated.

Conclusion....Igbos back PMB in 2019 on a Pan-Nigerian ticket....and hope for a ticket come 2023.

What any sensible person should be thinking of should be how to tame the fulani herdsman we have as president whose ineptitude, bigotry, tyranny and cluelessness is destroying the economy instead of talking 2019 now. Buhari's confusion and destruction of the economy must stop.

Very funny statement.

Your party leader(s) regard them as 5%, your supporters distaste(insult) them to a large extent, your party leadership disregard them as close to non-entity(as SouthEast APC leaders and many supporters who don't support your party openly), among others. After all these, you have the audacity to tell them to join you because of 'this'.

Interesting the way this group thinks.
