Did you do a factory reset after the last update? Miui 8.0.2.0 was actually bad in terms of battery until I updated to 8.0.5.0. So for now I suggest doing a factory reset and using it for a few days.
Ok then

Does it display anything when you power it? If it does, you can connect a mouse using otg cable and try to do a factory reset

Concerning your battery, as it been good in performance at any particular time? Because poor battery performance is the major con of the Helio x10 processor.

Updated my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro Special Edition from MIUI 7 to MIUI 8 two days ago. . . .and I'm loving it.

Once you go MIUI, you can never use stock android or any other custom rom.

Oh not me. Updated to 8 for more than 2 months now and there is not that much about MIUI. Only 2 features impressed me - second space and dual apps. Everything else nah wash. Straight into the bin.

For now, Everything and anything Xiaomi including Miui is a closed chapter for me.

Successfully upgraded to developer ROM. But heating issues still persist. I guess I would have to think about formatting the memory. Thanks.

That heating issue, I don't think there is any cure to it, but hope you have rebooted after updating. What I observe is when the heat is much, you can remove the battery for sometime and reinsert it, it has been working for me. grin
By the way are you rooted?

No am not rooted, the heating issue reduced bit its not like b4 now on normal usage the phone heats up to 38* unlike the 45* of before.

I guess we have to live with the heat, thats the normal temperature I get with the phone, though slightly cooler than yours, your overclocked processor should be the culprit. The coolest I have observed is 32 degrees Celsius.

I told you factory-reseting your phone after any miui update is non-negotiable. You only delayed the obvious.

Not necessarily. I dirty flash every other week as long as it's the same rom viz developer to developer but moving from developer to stable or china then factory reset is necessary
