what was the figure a year ago? As at Jan 2015 it was $2.45BN http://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/175125-nigerias-excess-crude-account-2-45-bn.html Around May 2015 it was $1.7BN GEJ handed over to GMB . Although it was virtually zero as the GMB shared same to state governors to assist them pay outstanding (up to 8 months) workers salary as at May 2015. http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/07/07/excess-crude-account-like-jonathan-like-buhari/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

Pavarottii:GEF did not add penny to excess crude oil account. Rather he spent the huge amount left by Obasanjo and Yar Adua untill it went down to a little above 2 billion dollars. 3 Likes |

micolaj: I don't think this news item is for the masses. It's for people like you who can process and explain the implications to others. Also, accountability is always a good idea? We haven't had a lot of that. Finally, they've laid out their plans very very clearly. The only thing we are waiting for is really good execution. Budget is appropriated and so execution is expected. I really don't think there is much in this news item to applaud or criticize. It's just news. 1 Like |

MrPolitics: Jonathan advocate. It is not excess crude oil acc. that GEJ left 30,10 (thirty ten) billions.......... Excess crude acc is the account governors shared under the supervision of NOI. BESIDES, YOU MENTIONED GEJ LEFT 30 BILLION. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL US HOW MUCH GEJ MET IN THE ACCOUNT WHEN HE WAS SWORN IN? GEJ MET MORE THAN $72 BILLIONS WHEN HE CAME TO POWER. |

tinsel:such comments do provoke me to comment on this forum. Obj left so much money but did little to improve the lives of the common man. Take for instance, implementation of minimum wage, increasing nysc corpers'allowance from obj's pauparized 9k to 19800k. Improvement of civil defense salaries and i believe that all these things require money including sure p tetfund GIS YEAH AND YEAP. 1 Like 1 Share |

What is your problem . Y hold Asari an Tompolo responsible for the development of their communities when it is d duties of the government . Is it Dangote, Sanusi that developed Kano? Is it Tinubu that developed Lagos. Is it Tambuwa that developed Sokoto? How many investment does Dangote have in his home town? U should have advise him to relocate his refinery from Lagos to Kano. U cannot decide for a business man how and where to spend his money. if you have nothing reasonable to say better start whistling. agbangam: 1 Like 1 Share |

Pavarottii: My brother use your brain, for 16 years PDP could only generate 3500mw not Jonathan, military left 1500 mw. Oil price is $47 but our supply is just 1.4 instead of 2.2 under Jonathan. 2015 budget spend by Jonathan on election as they turn CBN to PDP ATM. Wait for the first budget under APC government, 350 billion naira was released last week for capital projects. Oil crisis is a global problem affecting all Oil producing nations, below is our survival resources compared to other's.
