People say that kindness is the best policy when it comes to breaking up and that probably is what gave birth to "It's not you it's me." Because, it is easier to take the blame on your own head rather than try and make him understand why he sucks. But, you know what, we are done with taking the blame. We say to hell with ‘it's not you,' because hey ... it Is you.

You are the one making us want to punch innocent people on the street because they remind us of you. So let's start ripping off the Band-Aid by calling a spade a spade. Here are three honest things you can tell your soon-to-be-ex instead of blaming yourself. These will also ensure that he stays out of your hair and doesn't come back each time he is drunk or feeling emotional; because who needs that kind of drama anyway.

We Are Making Each Other Sad

It's a good idea to keep the balance right and admit that both of you are not gaining ANYTHING from this relationship. Sit him down, and talk to him about how his behavior makes you unhappy and frustrated and at the end of the day, both of you are left searching for something more. While we understand your need to be kind and less cruel, it's better to be honest and tell him that he isn't who you are looking for. Be brutal unless you want to be drunk dialed all the time.
