So what's your point again?
Whats the difference between kidnapping and armed robbery?. As a matter of fact, kidnapping is more preferable because it targets only the super rich and not like robbers who spray bullets like no other. How do you know the perpetrators?.  Oyo state has the highest rate of armed robbery in Nigeria now, does it mean its only Yorubas who are the robbers?.

Immidiate cash attracts crime. If these kidnappers are not sure the people kidnapped will vomit immediate dough, why waste their time?. Onitsha business men control a chunk of wealth in Nigeria and any of them you kidnap can vomit at least 10 million besides, there has been kidnappings in other areas. 3 local govt chairmen were kidnapped in Kogi 2 eeks ago; there's been series of kidnappings in the west too. If those kidnapped are not popular, it doesn't make it any less of a crime.
I guess you didn't hear about Pokobros who is another Onitsha magnate but the media didn't carry the news because he is not popular like GUO or Edochie. Same goes to others kidnapped in other areas.

Stop these tribalist nonsense and think outside the box for a minute.

Who told you that the perpetrators are igbo?

WHere's your proof?

It was reported that armed robbers who shook awka yesterday had a rocket launcher and they were traced back to PH.

What do say about that.

Onitsha is a rich city, meanwhile the place looks like a piggery. That is how crazy the people are, they think money is for the pocket(for keep) not knowing that money is for circulation, developing, building, exchange, etc.

Until we begin to see money as a means to an end,not an end itself,we will never develop.

When did you go to onitsha last?. Buildings are everywhere there and I think you should be criticizing them for building too many structures without making space for trees and bushes in order to absorb the impurities and heat from the city. presently, Onitsha is preserved by the trees beyond river Nigeri in Asaba and on the eastern part, deforestation continues and the govt is not raising alarm. In 25 years, Onitsha will be extremely hot to the point that if you don't have A/C, you won't sleep. Too much cement is not good my friend.

How do they keep the money in their pocket when they are business men?. Business men essentially trade money for goods and services while eying the profits. They are not like civil servants or govt leaders who keep the money permanently in the bank without any hope of circulating it. No amount of money is every enough for a business man and they rarely keep savings in the bank. Ask bankers here.

It is not about selfish unplanned structures scattered everywhere,it is about infrastructures and general city development that befits a commercial and beautiful city like onitsha.

Groups like OMATA should be tasking themselves and use it to develop their general surrounding and in turn, take tolls to keep it running. It creates jobs and resources and where there are jobs and activities, there are less boredom, less miseries and less crimes.

All that water front should be a beautiful harbor with bars, restaurants, clubs and other businesses
