They Senate has suddenly woken up, thank God!!!

This Dullard wants to keep sowing seeds of discord and nepotism in this country.

There's always a limit to everything under the sun.

No respect for the rule of law and our constitution, as well as the Federal Character.

He got away with it in his first set of appointments where the 'South East could not be trusted with any position'.

He's unrepentant and this time, Nigerians are begining to see his hidden agenda.

The earlier he's checked, to save this country, the better.

His very polarised actions even in the fight against his political opponents [Corruption], will soon start to receive commensurate resistance from all angles.

The people are being pushed to the wall, and when they get there, they will no longer move, but will turn and squarely face the pusher.

I am so much in support of the fight against corruption in all aspects of our lives, but the fight has to cut across all political parties, all ethnic groups, all social classes, all states and local governments, everyone. It's either this way, or the president has a choice to declare that ' from now onwards guys, no aspect of corruption will be spared' and himself should stop being corrupt.

For the benefit of doubt, 'Corruption means, when one uses his position to do things that are not expected of him/her by law'. And this includes lying to the people and deceiving those who voted you into power.

Have you studied the Nigeria map? draw a line on the boundary between the North and the South and tell us which part is larger, look careful you will see that the North is more than twice the size of the South. Sometimes I wonder the type of education the Southerners acquired, how can they allow somebody from Sokoto or Maiduguri to claim that Bennue kogi and kwara states that are next door neighbours to Enugu, cross rivers, ondo etc are Northen states without considering the political and economic advantages?

Northerners might not have gone to school but they seem to be naturally wiser than the Southerners with all their degrees.

How unfortunate can Nigerians be to have such a daft as president?

Great move the list reeks of nepotism. How will you appoint junior officers skipping the senior officers. It's wrong and even worse 3 nominees from Borno state because the list was prepared by Kingibe a Borno man.

We Nigerians say NO, I believe Buhari is oblivious to this, but he needs to pick his associates more carefully.

How does this not reflect federal chaacter Pls show me the region that was omitted

Issues with the list:
1) Borno State, for instance, has three nominees, while Adamawa, Bauchi, Kano and Katsina has two each.

2) disregard for seniority: nominees from Adamawa, Benue, Borno, Katsina, Kebbi, Ekiti, Kogi and Lagos states were junior officers, who have been elevated above more senior and experienced colleagues.

3) selection of 10 out of 47 nominees from National Intelligence Agency (NIA). This is against the rules establishing the NIA as a separate entity from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961. The Vienna Convention stipulates the character and nature of people eligible for appointment as principal representatives abroad and heads of diplomatic missions.

Was the rejection of the list by the Senate done in good faith or a revenge for the executive's court action against the Senate leadership.

Is the Senate trying to create an impression that they really represent the interest of the Nigerian people and why should the people give a hoot since whoever emerges on the list irrespective of what they claim the list doesn't represent or represents isn't doing the masses any favour?

Nigerians should save their breath and focus on ways to better their lives as these ones called politicians have found a way to better their lives and ate fighting hard to protect their pot of gold.

Why would the president send an imbalanced list to the senators ?that alone is corruption according to Bro Iginla's sermon. A list that does not reflect federal character is a corrupt list. Can somebody please chorus it to Mr President that he must live by example in every spheres of governance .

Our constitution is superior to any silly convention. Go and read section 171. Appointments are the Presidents prerogative. He can appoint a beggar as ambassador. Ok.
