You are right. Though I apologize for the role yoruba played in that war. We should have made lagos hot for the hausas, instead we allowed them to bully us and forcefully capture our men at bus stops and conscript to go and kill babies in the East.

My brother, i never hated the SW but i have sat down to ponder on our history, and how these Notherners have treated and disrespected our people here in the south. But my greatest surprise is the hatred SW always has for SE/SS but they show so much love and respect to the northerners who have no regard for us here in the south.

Even here on Nairaland, check very well you will understand better. Time will tell

The NE development commission is to be funded by UN grants, EUROPEAN UNION grants, US government grants, donations by Nigerian billionaires and Nigerian tax payers money.

Since they have brought it up, I will talk.
Please mark this day and the HDI for that region. Educational enrolment, Health, child health care and crime level. Watch for three years and compare with SS .

I bet you that region will top all the charts and the truth will come out . Nigeria' problem is mentality and not structure. The oil is just a confusing source of confusion. The NE will not loot the funds coming to their region, they will not make billionaires out of militants and they will not have cult groups killing everyone and chasing investments away.

God is going to teach this country some lessons this year. You can continue to sit in a beer palour in PHC deceiving yourself that you are better than Northerners and they are dragging Nigeria down or you get out of your ass to improve your environment. Whatever happens we will see the results

Did you hear about the death toll in the IDP camps? Who's siphoning money meant to feed those kids? There's no corruption in the north and yet you keep recording all time low on every single positive index assessment.

Ol' boy. The way 9ja is divided now, especially the youth, is frightening. It shows that failure to discuss our problems honestly, including the civil war, resources control, regional autonomy etc, remains a massive mistake.

A mistake that could massively shatter this fragile country already at war with itself.

It seems that for the benefit of a few complacent, condescending and greedy elites, the majority will suffer even more seriously. Terrible prospect.

So who brought boko haram upon the north? Was it not also themselves? Use that your big head to think before you talk
All they're saying is, use northern resources for the Northern development and southern resources for the Southern development.

Both you and the senator you quoted are either mentally lazy or intellectually bereft - and should be ashamed of yourselves.

In both cases you have been asked direct questions concerning the 3Rs post Biafran war policy of the FG and astonishingly both of you showing little understanding to the question went absolutely AWOL.

In the senator's case, rather than answering the question he completely chose to go off point, opting to relate back to his personal experience during the war instead of agreeing or disagreeing with the post war 3Rs FG efforts; while in your case, you foolishly and blindly copied and pasted exactly what the senator said without even bothering to read it through, not minding that his answer was totally irrelevant to the question - yet, most of you would come here bragging about your so called academic acumen while shamefully exhibiting such abject poor comprehension that would make one wonder whether if you had indeed finished ordinary secondary school at all.

Buhari answer that question.

Up to this date, the SE/SS ravaged by civil war was never rebuilt with Federal resources.

So why North East. angry
Gej spent roughly 6 years in power embezzling as much as he could and the Northern region were insecured due to BH, developing your region never occurred to you people because you were busy enjoying stolen funds from the government, now because Buhari who is a northerner decided to eradicate corruption and insecurities, because that embezzlement ceased, that was when you all remembered your states were not developed and decided to form some irrational group drawing the country backwards... heartless set of people

You must have believed that you were writing above for kids in the kinder..

You tell us that northerners are not corrupt, you must have believed that you were talking to Almajiris.
Who stole Nigeria dry during thirty-eight years of northern military dictatorship; and worse, could not understand that infrastructures like electricity, running water, telephone, railway lines, roads etc. had to be built or replenished?

You wrote as if Nigeria started just yesterday. Niger delta should have developed as good as Dubai if not for for the 50 years deceptive tactics from people like you; the same type of deception you also deployed above..

Your north caused your Boko Haram and destruction when you started to toy with sharia criminal codes. Boko Haram took over and tried to enforce sharia criminal codes by a most violent method, and it resulted to all the destructuion in the north.

Nigeria has lost billions of Dollars oil money over Boko Haram. If left alone, President Buhari could have deployed most of Nigeria's oil revenues to north of Nigeria - to repair the self-inflicted wound in the north done by Boko Haram.

Before north can recover from the damages done by Boko Haram in the north, the Nigerdelta must have freed itself from you leeches and parasites of Nigeria, and Niger delta area must have recouped what it lost during this struggle - in a short period of time.

And do you sincerely believe that Boko Haram can't return again in full force whenever a president of Nigeria is not a notrthern Muslim?

You are a worst liar when you said that Nigeria's problem was mentality, not structural. Your lied to high heavens there. Nigeria's problem is STRUCTURAL. No Nigerian was born a thief, corrupt, a fighter or secessionist. But because north used miliatry force to restructure Nigeria politically and scattered too many states and LGas in the north to suck up Nigeria's shared revenues; and because north draws undue political over-representation from the large number of states which it uses to detrmine what can be in Nigeria, we can no longer amend the vital areas of the north-supervised constitution in a democracy. That's the dilema of Nigeria today.

Oil is found in the Nigerdelta which remains in a decadent state owing mostly from environmental pollution and poverty visited by Nigeria on the people of the Nigerdelta, but oil revenues are poured more into the north to finance development projects that include the latest $1.05 billion standard gauge train lines in the north - the first ever and only in Nigeria. But Nigerdelta people travel on muddy federal roads and on canoes. Meanwhile, most of the southern people that used to live in the north have been chased away by use of unfavourable sharia criminal laws and sharia follow-up Boko Haram violence.

Note that those you people deceived, as you tried to do above are mostly gone to the world beyond. This is the 21st century, a time when information is available to any one who seeks for it. You don't seem to understand that you can't do mass deception any more.

Why do some people think like uneducated idiots? The north has produced the richest black man on earth, multi billionaire Alhaji ALIKO DANGOTE and he does not have a single oil block. He produces and sells cement, sugar, salt and other goods people need more than crude oil.
The north can survive and succeed without the Niger Delta.
The wealthiest countries in the world don't produce crude oil. The north can dump the crude oil from Niger Delta and import from north Africa and the Middle East.
What is the use of being oil producing states, but have no brains to produce world class billionaires like Alhaji ALIKO DANGOTE? .
