Kano commissioner of police, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris

The acting Inspector-General Police (I-G), Mr Ibrahim Idris on Monday appointed DCP Don Awunah as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) to replace acting ACP Olabisi Kolawole.
The outgoing spokesperson and first female FPRO, who disclosed this to newsmen in Abuja said the appointment was in line with the Force’s tradition.

Kolawole thanked the media for the support given to her and urged them to extend same maximum cooperation to the new spokesman.

Responding, Awunah promised to increase the good relationship between the Police and the public in line with the policy thrust of the Force.

He also urged the media to give him all the necessary support to effectively discharge his duty.

“I want to invite you to support the Nigeria Police Force to discharge its constitutional mandate of providing security to the people.

“I assure you of our cooperation. You know the I-G is passionate about the media,’’ he said.

Until his appointment, Awunah was the DCP in charge of Homicide Section of Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) Abuja.

He holds B.A. Degree in Philosophy from the University of Lagos and M.A. in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Benue State University, Makurdi.

He is a Fellow of Institute of Security Studies (fsi), Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration, and Member, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).

You people should put the military /police on all ship. You give them the naira to come abroad to exchange for dollar / pound/ euro etc.
If 5000 military/ police officers leaves a day on ships. In 365 days it is million of dollars and pounds etc they will exchange with bank abroad legally,because international banks can accept naira.

Each officers can legally carry the equivalent in naira $10,000 , give you more than $25billion . If they go 2 time a year. It is $50 billion .It comes to 720000 officers a year. That why all old military/ police they went abroad .

The $50 billion dollars is what you will use to buy machine and built factory .

This is how they did. And most countries, this is how they did it. From 1960 to 1976 or so , because you can't give civilian the money . You can only legally give military / police money to use.

If you have zero dollars or pound or euro etc in an economy , there will be no international trade and you have zero economy . the more the dollars , pound, euro etc , you have the level of your trade.. And your ability to build factories.

You use the military/police to go legally get the dollars , pound, euro etc. if the military/police dont go and get the dollars , pound, euro , you have fuel crisis, unemployment, low level of trade, companies collapsing etc

in organisations (force in particular), it's seen as a taboo to give order to your superiors, if you are promoted ahead of them, they redeploy them to a post they won't have to report to you, if that's not possible due to position held, they show them the door.

That's the best thing to do for optimum performance. If not, the fear of your boss will not make you do the work as you are supposed to. Some may even threaten you.
