We all know what Buhari is trying to do is best for Nigeria but I'm afraid the task is too herculean for him. If he should spend his entire first term recovering stolen loot and prosecuting corrupt leaders then the economy will suffer greatly due to inability to multitask. Buhari with his good intentions might end up looking like a failure in the eyes of the public if he does not tone the recovery effort down and start implementing concrete economic policies. I'm afraid 2019 is fast approaching and some greedy politician is just waiting at the opportunity to use the economy against him in the election.

.................u are very right

May the Lord help my Nd'Igbo kinsmen. We attach sentiments to everything. We said Metuh was being unnecessarily persecuted. Now Bro. Olisa Metuh has confessed and promised to be a born again and join the antigraft crusade.

God bless Nigeria!
God bless Nd'Igbo land.

There are much more looted monies in the hands of the looters than the little that is being recovered from them by the government. What is being recovered from them is just the final and elections loots. What about the main loots?

If Buhari prosecutes a southerner man for corruption, people will say he's doing ethnic cleansing.
2. If he prosecutes a fellow Fulani man, they will say it's because the criminal is a PDP member.
3. If he prosecutes a fellow APC member, they will say it's because the criminal is giving Buhari a tough time within the party & they're trying to frustrate the accused out of the party.
4. If he prosecutes someone that doesn't belong to any political party, they will say it's because the criminal is an anti-government critic.
They're yet to say whether the person being prosecuted is guilty of the said crime or not. We're simply comedians! I already said it. Buhari's anti-corruption fight won't be possible in as much as we keep politicizing and ethnicizing the whole thing. To discover that the same set of people that want corruption stamped out are the same ones saying all these things breaks one's heart.
When GEJ was president, why didn't he also prosecute all the thieves in the opposition? He was trying to be Mr. Nice? Mr. Nice that landed us in what we are in right now?
Get me right. I want Aregbesola's account frozen like Fayose's. But if I'm to distribute gifts to a group of people whose names are on a list, does it matter whether I start from the top, bottom, or middle? The most important thing is that the name of anybody that gets the gift is on the list, isn't it? Ok. What if the gift finishes before it reaches some people?
Well, in this case, it's not exactly the same. Buhari's gift is enough to go round everybody. So no matter where he starts from on the list, nobody will miss out on the gift. And nobody can dictate to him where he should start from. He made the list, not you or me. He that makes the list reserves the right to start anywhere he wishes. Instead of wasting our energy arguing on where he's starting from, we should ask whether someone who doesn't deserve a gift has gotten one. If that hasn't happened, then what has the noise been all about?
am an ardent supporter of pdp but let us allow buhari start from somewhere. he is not going to be in power for ever. if truly his fight is against pdp then i assure you that apc will not be in power till the end of time. that is why Nigerians should always take advantage of this and vote a different party after every successful administration. we in edo state will change to pdp after oshiomhole tenure and we will change pdp to another party after pdp tenure. we will continue to be doing this and using their head untill God bring the real messiah. People like Metuh, Fani Kayode and other beneficiaries that were entrusted with the PDP campaign funds are great hypocrites. They all kept for their personal uses, the money that was disbursed to them to help finance the election. I know that GEJ will be laughing hard where he's now. Supposing that Metuh for instance used the money given to him for what it was meant for, where would he has find the same exact amount to refund the FG? Backstabber's everywhere.

Kudos to the FG by the way.

Why do you think GEJ keeps visiting Aso Rock?

He is pointing out those who betrayed him one by one.

Someone must be mad here....

“It is instructive that, out of over 300 names
listed as having received money from the ONSA,
all those who offered to refund money were not
arraigned in court. Our son is the only one
whose offer to refund money was rejected and
has been arraigned in court and his case given
accelerated hearing. On each trial date, the
hostility in the courtroom is palpable.
“The offer to refund the money to the Federal
Government is still open and the government is
yet to accept the offer. It is, therefore, clear to us
that the intention is not the recovery of funds, but
a clear persecution of our son.”

I think someone need to let them know their son's stand when EFCC was telling him to refund the money..hmmm?

Someone need to let them know those nonsense talks their son was making initially when the case was fresh

someone can tell them about what their fucking and fraudster son said that not in this country he will refund money back

Now that stupid is dying .....

He want to refund, abi?

Big shame to wailers!!!
Bleep you all!!!

God bless PMB
God bless Naija
God bless me!!!

How to deyam a goat
-------------------------------
Firstly, tell goat to ate yam
secondly, invite goat over
thirdly, tell goat to vomit
Goat says over his dead body
goat says if you cant purge the head eater, I will rather die
then, if goat refuses, you cage goat,
after, if goat eats official document, you cuff the goat
get goat to meet stringent conditions
goat then begs for condition to be relaxed
goat accuses "conditioner" as colleague
goat's condition is relaxed, goat begins to fall ill,
goat then "falls off his own accord" amongst fellow goats
goat is hospitalized and denied access to specialist goat doctor,
goat's life is threatened and goats agrees to be deyamed.
Goat uses every means to appeal to be deyamed as the weight of yams is hurting goat's back.
finally, goat supports the once selective deyaming process.
Shall we receive yam from goat??

What's this one saying? After a year, we are still playing this game, just stop it already! No one is expecting a miracle, just show Nigerians the plan that is in place and we can then have hope for the future. Sensible Nigerians are not expecting a swift turnaround but after a year things should not be worse than he met it. A year is enough to get us back to equilibrium(We don't even want the campaign promises anymore just equilibrium), if you don't think so then I'm even more sorry for you!

Just when I thought you were one of the great intellects on Nairaland, you had to respond with the bold words above, very disappointing! Obama didn't spend his first year in office dragging the economy down,he introduced the bail out and other economic policies and that stopped the bleeding, the job loss and home foreclosures started to decline and by the end of his first term, the U.S recorded the first positive growth in the economy. By the beginning of his second term the economy is trending upwards. Compare that to Buhari that has spent the entire first year implementing disastrous economic policies, chasing after corrupt officials with little to no results and watching the economy plummet into a full blown depression. To compare Buahri's first term to Obama's is like comparing banana to tomatoes in Nigeria right now, ridiculous!

You just confirmed what I wrote. hear you - "job loses and foreclosures started to decline by the end of his first term" which is after four years? has Buhari clocked four years? again you stated that" By the beginning of his second term the economy begins to trend upward". So is that not after four years? are you not vindicating my assertion that even Obama did not turn around American economy in one year? wow! some people need to go back to school. Remember the bail out was massively criticized by a lot of people during that time, just as you are massively criticizing now. My take is its only after four years as you rightly stated that things begin to turn around.
Therefore if Obama were to listen to people like you then, there will be no turn around. So give this government the benefit of doubt .

You want to teach me about Obama and U.S economic policies? Better stick to topics more familiar to you. I'm sure you are well educated and are not the type to argue with sentiments so I'll break it down for you. Obama introduced comprehensive economic policies(Bailout, reforms to the housing and banking sectors, consumer laws and so on) in his first year, this stopped the bleeding in the first year. The U.S stopped losing jobs and foreclosure rates started declining. This is a sign of a serious president, even with all that he was still criticized because the economy was not adding jobs or growing but just leveling off. Now what do I mean by leveling off? I meant, companies stopped packing up, banks remained open, unemployment rate stopped crashing and the stock market stopped crashing. All this was done in the first year. Now by your reasoning, you expect Nigerians to just sit back and wait till after 4 years before vexing or criticizing? Most sensible Nigerians are not even asking for a vibrant economy, they just want the decline to stop. For how long will the poor masses be able to afford tomatoes at 400% its normal price or watch as essential commodities are no longer affordable? I want you to understand this and understand it well, Buhari met a disaster when he assumed office, we all get that but the citizens did not vote him in to make things worse, Obama got things going in his first year and the people felt it, hopefully Buhari can impact the lives of the masses positively before the end of his second year.
