PENGASSAN Has Not Called Off The Strike - Strike Begins Tomorrow by Flips: 8:50pm On Jul 07, 2016
This is a rejoinder to the earlier front page post that PENGASSAN has called off its strike. This was reported by Channels TV while some other media outlet followed suit.

There is absolutely no truth in that information. It was misleading report by Channels TV. The only true information is that negotiations has now been rescheduled to Monday.

Strike still commences tomorrow. Its a total paralysis of the oil industry. I am a PENGASSAN member and I still got a email message from the union leadership this evening affirming that the strike action continues tomorrow and we should disregard the news emanating from Channels TV.

The union leadership is only organ authorized to call off the strike not Channels TV or any other media outlet. Please take note. None of the media outlet quoted any union leader saying the strike has been suspended.

Kindly bear with us as strike action is for the good of the entire oil industry and in extension Nigeria.

lalasticlala please move to front page.
