This is a topic that doesn’t get much attention on the thread, we need to replace the Alpha jets !
right now, the Alphas are seen as COIN workhorse. Imo the eyes if the brass are concerned with replacement of the COIN aspect(you will agree with me that the Tucs are better off) of the Alphas & not the other capabilities

Russian nuclear powered UUV armed with nuclear warhead

The biggest challenge of operating manned conventional subs is undersea data transmission-the water really slows the rate and only VLF and Extremely Low Frequency can be used. Imagine the time it would take for the UUV to change depth, direction and speed. How would the UUV operate tactically?

Anyone seen this,nemesis8U? The economic realities of large weapons buys are interesting indeed.

https://defenceupdate.in/france-to-give-31-jaguar-aircraft-free-of-charge-to-india/

Ofc,Jean-Fraude is also looking for goodwill since Modi has just bought 36 Rafales , but still you get to keep a valuable though old air frame as a secondary deep strike FSB flying another decade and a half, basically for free!

They r for cannibalization

The aircrafts will be ripped apart for spare parts.

Ind... no longer produces spares for jaguars so they cannibalize parts from old Jags to keep the others in flying condition.

Same with mirage 2000

And they r of no use to France since the jaguars in their service have been withdrawn long ago.

So yeah Ur correct that they r using it to their advantage

Amazingly, the UK that has Russia on its list of threats as ordinary Hawk T2 aircraft as an air defence element. Up there with F35B, Typhoons and Tornado ADVs.

The RAF Hawks are used as a second line of defense.

Russia has a new light lifter! It looks strangely like the C 295 with its underside fairings though it comes with better avionics suite, imo.Since they share the same role their specs are similar, speed, payload, range etc, etc. Russia has ordered 70 to be inducted by 2019 to replace the AN 32.

An electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) is equipped in the aircraft. The system includes primary flight display (PFD), multifunction display (MFD) / navigation display (ND), engine indications and crew alerting system (EICAS) / electronic centralised aircraft monitoring (ECAM). The flight information is displayed on six multifunctional liquid crystal displays. The avionics will allow the aircraft to perform tasks in any geographic and climatic conditions, day or night.

The IL-112 has a maximum cruise speed of 550km/h to 580km/h. It can fly at an altitude of 9,000m. The maximum take-off weight of the aircraft is 20t and the maximum payload is 6t. The aircraft has a range of 100km with a payload of 6t and 5,000km with a payload of 2t.

It compares favourably with the now retired AN 32 which carries 7 tons.
