OK, he's still rich. At least now we know why Bayelsa state cannot EVEN pay salaries of civil servants.

He didn't invest or probably didn't invest properly or he lavished his money on irrelevant things or its village people. One of them.

If he had 1 billion in 2004. He should be worth at least 3 billion now with right investment

my thoughts exactly. I should be a multi billionaire by now if i had that amount in 2004.

Heck! Even if he only spent 500million buying houses all over the place and renting them out, and then lavish the other 500million, he still would have been a very rich man today

wasting such a huge amount like that is just absurd

Massive looting of shared fund of the masses is not a guarantee to evergreen riches, this is evidence in the man who celebrated 1billion naira during the reign of late Alamesiegha a.k.a ALAMCO.
I was a batch A corper between 2004/2005, leaving with my uncle in Kpansia area of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He told me to dress up for a club, that a cousin of the the governor is celebrating 1billion. I was confused initially, but my brother, it was a reality when I got there and saw some of our hot corper babes in club arena, behold! The celebration was that the guy had hit is first 1billion naira.
Those who are familiar with Bayelsa State know who slapped GEJ when he was the deputy governor, who later ran to S.A when ALAMCO was impeached.
Recently, I escorted a friend to his house in Amassoma close to NDU (NigerDelta University), take it or leave, the guy is broke. When I got to Yenagoa and was trying to talk about it with my uncle's friends in where we're relaxing, a guy just asked me to forget the talk, saying he quite recently borrowed 10k to fuel his car.

Marvellous! Marvellous!!, what exactly is the value of 1billion in 2004 and how did he spend the money?

You are talking of "T.O aka ABEL EBIFEMOWEI!" He was the commissioner for youth, sports and government house logistics back then in yenagoa!

I served in government house so I was also constantly at all those mega parties! I gladly smashed one of his _bitches as a bonus! HE WAS A GREAT TOUT and the true definition of money miss road!

just 1billion and he was making noise to wake up his village people, those who stole 200billion entered their closet. Anyway, I don't believe he is poor, probably doesn't have so much money to squander. BTW, how do I invite efcc to investigate him?

any money that is not wisely invested "must" finish.
any man that made 1 billion naira or any other currency and called a party is marked for poverty by his village witches and wizards. Such a person can never be rich talkmore of wealthy.

any way my people say "okuko agwotaru na ogwu na esi na ogwu ana." (Chiecken gotten threw charm goes back through charm.)

That's why militants are hoving around now because many wrong people especially youths got huge chances but misused it and think they will force out monies from govt again. Alot of sound mind are in Niger Delta who can turn things around with with little lifts but if only the govt will create the forum for those ones not the Avengers who will still come back in another garb when they spend anything given.
Amnesty my foot.
