If Gowon had done the needful after the Aburi Meeting at Aburi, Ghana, January, 1967, Nigeria would have been a successful and prosperous nation. Today he is looking remorseful at every turn, seeking to pray out what he was opportune to do with logic and reason decades ago. And the Nigeria he was 'fighting' for has only retrogressed.
