Hello peeps,

My wife submitted a study permit application on January 10, 2017 with upfront medical for summer admission but she got a response to submit a "non conditional letter of acceptance" within 5 working days to avoid been refused.

She swiftly contacted the school UWO to request for this but the school insisted they don't issue that until the conditions on the "conditional letter" are met viz: original transcript and a valid study permit and that the initial letter was prepared in conjuction with Cic and should suffice for granting a study permit. Transcript have since been processed.

Please gurus, advise on the next line of action. Thanks
What the school is saying to you is that... "Meet some conditions and get your offer finalised"... While an official transcript MUST be sent before your offer... It is expected that the second leg of condition which is the permit (will come not before an offer letter but before you resume/enrol)
It is not usually advisable to apply for a study permit with a conditional offer letter...... and in actual fact you should not!! ...cos it'll only slow the process.
There are stages in the admission process... After you submit your required documents, you may get a conditional offer ......after which you will be required to fulfill some other terms (deposit... Official transcript nd the likes) before a final offer letter... Confirmation of acceptance.... Invoices are mailed to applicant for Visa purposes.... Depending on the institution and your circumstances though!!!
Trust that CIC will insist on an unconditional offer before your application is passed for review.... moreso, UWO will ensure you submit an official transcript before on offer is mailed to you... How this will happen in 5 days I don't really know.

We should be patient .... Study school letters and conditions before you apply... It could save us some time please.
Good luck.

Some program offer winter admission with funding. You don't have to wait till fall 2018. But you will have to do rigorous search for them. Good luck.
Alright, thank you. I pray there is winter admission with funding. It's gonna so cool.

The school is right and CIC knows about the processes to fulfill a condition on your offer letter that is why they ask that you show in your study permit application that you can meet the condition(s)if you apply with a conditional offer letter.

If your wife didn't submit her UNOFFICIAL undegrad transcript during her visa application, she has to show CIC that she has or can meet the condition.

Since transcript has been processed, attach the order reciept requesting the transcript to be sent to her school in canada as well as any email correspondence showing you are in the process of meeting the condition on your letter if the school won't give you unconditional letter. The study permit condition is a walk over. It's CIC call and not yours to worry over.

Hello,

You will scan all and attach together in the same pdf file. Example if you have ten documents for proof of finance. Scan everything into one page and upload as one document. for the ielts, ssce et.c you can attach it to your Letter of Explanation.

Good day gurus in the house.

I have been a silent follower of this thread for a long time.

I have just been admitted to the University of Saskatchewan for MASc degree in Chemical Engineering without funding for fall 2017 session.

Annual expenses is in the range of 20-25k CAD and its for 2 years.

Am self sponsored so i want to ask if i raise the money for the first year from here prior leaving will i be able to fund myself for the second year from hustling (Part time job) while studying?

Please a quick response from people with experience will be highly appreciated so i can take decision as regards the admission.

Thanks
please brother, how long did it take after filling the pre-application form before they invited you to apply officially?

Please please some one should help ooooo

Good day all please I need your help. I was delayed last December for purpose of visit ,employment prospect in country of resident, this was be4 a friend introduced me to this forum . I graduated in 2014 and am 32 my U G is political science and I specialised in international relations. For the past two years and presently am taking two part time jobs the first is am teaching English language in a French school and 2ndly I have part time job as a journalist. I decided to migrate through education. In my first app I applied for an U G in journalism, in my SOP I only talked of my passion and not mentioned I was I the field , no proof of home ties , I even have a son of 14yrs and some landed properties but did not mentioned since I was ignorant. I only mentioned that had thought but am no more teaching since i was afraid they will not give me visa if am working. OK my questions
1, with this situation can I still reapply without been
banned for miss representation?
2,if i can reapply, should I change the program to a post graduate in another discipline since I have only a three years U G which can't go with master's.
3, can i take a completely new program such as international development since I specialised international relations UG, or I should look for something related to education which I indicated to VO is my work experience.
4, should I reapply with the same level UG in journalism or look for a program that is related to journalism and present work experience?
Thanks in advance to every body who will reduce my worries.

Haaaa shocked shocked... Na Approval you just announce quietly like dat!!!! Abeg speak up joooor!!!
If you have seen your approval... The same page has an attachment that carries your correspondence letter that you can view and print out.
You will continue to track your passport on the VFS website as usual but you should get a message from same when your passport is ready for collection... About 7 working days.

Meanwhile please share your profile and documents... Congratulations!!!!!!

I applied last year October for January 2017 but I had to defer my admission till September. I applied online, I only submitted the requested documents requested online. Funny I didn't do all the extras I have seen people here doing. It was only statement of account that I attached there . The rest were documents I filled online.

I even made an error I ticked that my sister would accompany me , the embassy had to contact me to explain what I meant which I did and told them it was a mistake . Then my medical call was February 2 at IOM Ikeja , then passport collection last week . Then I got the correspondence letter today . Thasks be to God.

Lastly I want to ask on my correspondence letter I saw must enter Canada 2018/03/31. Does it mean the visa would expire by then or I must be in canada before then

It won't expire. Just to avoid un-neccesary questioning at the POE as to why u did not enter on time, try not enter Canada on or before that date.
@the year you wrote, do you mean to write 2017?

Def! you can go by September, if your program is not for fall, be prepared to tell the officer @ the POE why you're coming early.
