The worrying thing is why Yoruba language are constantly being ignored in favour of Hausa. This needs an explanation.

Patriotic. This is how things are supposed to be. I wonder if the tribes he mentioned, especially the second one, can ever do this!

We have a lot to learn in Nigeria.

Omokri please shut the F up. The only reason why we are where we are is cos the likes of you failed to advise your mentor properly.

If you fail to save in times of abundance you will definitely suffer for it. Obasanjo saved, Yar'adua saved but the likes of you were just comfortable with chopping the money.

You have no moral justification to talk. Please shut up!!!!

hausa has the number in Africa, I dont know how many of them actually use facebook, but I guess ubiquitous now, so many but in Africa hausa is spoken by about 69 million people (wikipedia). It is just a case of number, the same reason Nigerians are very relevant, 1 in every seven black person in the world is a Nigerian.

And if only one man from Daura like Ibrahim Babagana will stop taaging some 5% and thee rest 97%, Nigeria will be greater.

Its you that actually needs to shut up! We are discussing something entirely different and you are here wailing like a fool! Those in APC government were the same people in PDP who ruined this nation! So jonathan was also the governor of your state and other states in Nigeria! Keep disgracing yourself in public! Mumu!

The Tech guru "Mark Zuckerberg" gave us free access to the Internet!
Our leaders couldn't do it, he partnered with Airtel and now we have Freebasics a.k.a Internet. org.

A good friend indeed is worth 1billion useless politicians!

Yes but other languages are not really necessary because majority can read and write. Hausas are the least educated/literate tribe.

Just like somebody was asking why is there no Yoruba BBC or Igbo BBC.
My guy, in as much as I don't indulge in tribal/ethnic sentiment, your mindset is very wrong. You mean anyone who only read and understand Hausa language is less literate than others
Hausa is one of the most difficult language to study just like other languages, what you hear daily is the broken one....

It is because of people like you that Ibrahim's post is being celebrated. People like you that have gone through school but leave much to be desired.

1. Hausa is a language spoken across many countries and not just in the Northern part of Nigeria.
2. Does literacy mean Read/Write IN ENGLISH? Is the German an illiterate because he can't write English? Those same people you think are illiterates Read and Write in Arabic, they count in the same language and do trade in it.
3. Yoruba is spoken in South West Nigeria and some parts of Benin Republic, while Ibo is obly spoken in the Sout Eastern part of Nigeria. Of what economic benefit is it to BBC to have dedicated programmes in this languages? Remember, they aren't bound by any requirement for geo-political balancing.

You need to be more like Ibrahim!
