Though I don't particularly like Fayose, but this is worth commending. It was Fayemi's initiative, and I love continuity in government.
But what is the actual population of the would be beneficiaries of the scheme? For the whole of Ekiti, they should run to hundreds of thousands. For ordinary 10,000 people, that's #50,000,000 monthly. Now the question is, for how long can the state government sustain the scheme? Baring in mind that more people will still be included.

fayose is really the people gov. some people are against the scheme. some argue that the money suppose to channel to infrastructure or sponsor few individual.

I called those people "dog in the manger". Duty of govt is welfare scheme, security, maintain law and order and provide public goods/amenity. here fayose has provide the welfare scheme for its people which in line with Development economy, political economics and welfare economics. with this policy the economic activities in ekiti state will improve because those people will use the money in the market and govt would at the same time collect taxes and levies back from traders

No matter what we do for people in life, they can never be satisfied.

Kudos to Mr Fayose!!! FG should like wise start acting, coz governance is all about responsibilities, fundamental of which is welfare n security of citizens. In a saner n responsible clime, austerity measures such as the ones taken by d government so far should have been ease by a variety of palliatives. Sadly, this is Nigeria where the leaders(rulers) see their self's as demigods which should b worship. Nigerian leaders must learn to be responsible, accountable, approachable, firm, fair and above all have a common sense.

Brother in Nigeria in recent time we've never had it bad, I repeat let the people fed

is there any proper industry in that state ? what about old odua textile industry can they revival it ? that industry used to employ hundreds of youth when it was in operation. i commend what he did but how long would that last? may God help us.
