OP, I agree with you.

A close friend I knew back in high school made same mistake. Four years on, after two kids, she's fat, divorced and uneducated. She's now trying put her life together starting from square one.

But that's not the worst thing that had happened, it's the fact that she now has som'in she regrets. There's nothing as daunting as having regrets.

But like you mentioned, it's a gamble, a dangerous one at that.

She's not in custody. Another cause for more regrets in the long run.



It's almost the same thing as being uneducated. You can't even earn peanuts without a stupid college degree. Unless she decides to learn a trade.

It's not all about making a livable wage. What about the future? Owning a house and living comfortably. You can't do that with a Nigerian "livable wage". I'm happy she wasn't foolish to tag her kids along.. Let em papi take care of em.
