Its amazing how a year ago IPOB youths were threating fire and brimstone if Kanu wasn't released before January this year, now it has become a "to your tents o Israel" issue; sad thing is many died over this, and now, those who led others to their deaths have chickened out under the pressure of earthly desires. Youths and teenagers many of whom their brains are still developing, cannot process more than one thought or decision at a time, and with a lack of listening to elders (many of who saw the civil war) went out to promote a cause they knew they'd never win without following due process. I mourn with the bereaved; But I am more amazed at the lack of fire to champion a cause that was ready to plunge us in to civil war and unrest barely 12 months ago... Let us let the law and government handle this, and if they don't do so to our tastes, well there's 2019.... 7 Likes |

Most Africans only seem to prefer violence and arms conflict to diplomacy. I only see this going into full-time arms conflict that will affect everyone leading to instability in the region. Then those who created the mess will come in as "peacekeeping" agents, after racking in millions in arms sales. Just look at the UK-Saudi arms deal since it all kicked-off in Yemen. Syria is on a different level. Perhaps, West Africa region has been too "peaceful" longer than expected... Till date, no individual or administration has taken responsibility for creating Boko-haram and not many has cared to investigate the exact cost of the war, thus far, in addition to human cost. Funds that could have gone into development in Africa have gone into the accounts of the Fat cows(arms dealers) and their respective nations, all to the benefits of their citizens but to the detriment of the African child and their developments. The challenge for this generation is to rigorously fight for its Freedom and Liberty. 3 Likes 1 Share |

FunkyMetahuman:Thank God you confirmed that he is the Mandela of his people. This means that you are confirming the fact that freedom is sure for his people, just as it happened in South Africa. Mandela never gave up in his fight for freedom, irrespective of the number of years (that is, 27 years) he spent in prison, and at last what happened? - freedom came. That is how it is going to be for the Biafrans. Freedom may be delayed but it can never be denied no matter how long. Nnamdi Kanu, please never give up in your struggle for the freedom of your people. Continue being the Mandela of your people and freedom shall certainly come no matter how long it may take and no matter how many souls that have been lost. Nothing good comes easily. I salute your courage. 6 Likes 1 Share |

this is bvllsht. Above all, this is fear. Fear of the Igbo giant chasing them, as Nnamdi once spoke as a free man. Terrorism? Now thats a popular word haphazardly used these days. Buhari was in the US to procure weapons which would ultimately be used to kill people who are only guilty of siphoning oil to feed themselves as a direct result of a dire economy and poor leadership. Here are examples of Buhari's latest tyranny and terrorism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAIk798BYFo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVi8Ph6m0nc Was there a formal declaration of war against the accused and now deceased individuals? Where was their rights to a trial before the army killed them? As expected, Buhari jumped immediately to tyranny to keep control, which is aligned to his tyrannical proposal to ban alcohol 6 months into his presidency and much in-between. With all these claims of being a democracy, the Defendants are barred from addressing and scrutinizing their accusers, including witnesses. When the case is strong against this administration, as Nnamdi predicted, they'll re-entrench back into behaving like animals as seen in the videos above, Buhari's latest show of barbarism. |

I don't have anything against granting Biafra independence, but current events in the world today suggest that no nation wants to break or lose an inch of it's territory to the whims of secessionists. Example, India is seriously shooting pellets into the eyes of secessionists in the valley town of Kasmir, thereby blinding hundreds of protesters seeking for independence, Israel won't recognise Palestine as a sovereign state, the Senkaku Islands conflict between China vs Taiwan vs Japan; Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014, the falklands Islands war between England and Argentina, Spain and Catalona, even the almighty US is holding down Puerto Rico from self-rule; and Puerto Rico's freedom fighter, Oscar Lopez Rivera, is still in the US federal prison for the past 35yrs. Its just recently that people are lobbying Obama to pardon him before he leaves office for Trump. I can go on and on ad infinitum.. So in conclusion, not allowing Biafra independence is not peculiar to Nigeria alone but a global practice. 7 Likes 1 Share |

coldHeat: So you dont see how pathetic what you are writting is? That a people are demanding their right to self determination and you dont get it because British colonialist came to West Africa to tell you that you are a Nigerian in 1914. Yoy dont even question why your government should be shooting unarmed people and if this is civilised in 21st century. Im sure you dont actually care if Nigeria works as country or not. What worries you the most is why IPOB has not yet taken up arms like Boko Haram and NDA. You care more about death and destruction than you care about what is right or wrong. Grow up, politics section is not for kids. 2 Likes 1 Share |
