Such masses may not cause problems with breastfeeding or symptoms of cancer cause they are benign but my suggestions include
1) visit a hospital to re examine the mass to be on the safer side (she could present this to her obstetrician during her routine antenatal visit)
Watchful waiting till after pregnancy to prevent issues with local or general anesthesia required for the biopsy.

Agreed. However, I just think yearly clinical exam is all she needs. I do not think she needs any invasive procedures (not even a biopsy, due to possible effects on breast symmetry down the line, especially for her age). This is fibroadenoma, I believe, due to her age and clinical presentation. Phylloides would definitely look scarier on presentation and would also grow quicker. Common things being colon though.

First, this is not a surgical case. Secondly, what other information do you need other than described by the author, firm, "moves around" and periodically grows (read the discription again) or do you consider doing a lumpectomy on a 23 year old a good idea?

Bottomline, there is no spot diagnosis for breast lesions from history alone. The examination is even more valuable than history in surgical cases.

Take her to a good hospital. My niece who was living with me had such sometimes ago. The Doctor were not certain but they removed it still and later told us to take the removed lump for a test to be sure if it was cancerous.

we never did that because we already spent money on the Operation and we were short of fund so we just threw it away.

Don't panic bro. It's likely a cyst. Take her to a competent physician for a lumpectomy and have it removed and examined.

I think its mastitis my wife has experienced it when she was about 6mnths pregnant, thats 3mnths back.
U need to do an ultrasound first, if u need further advice on what to do let me know.

She should probably get it checked out. It could be benign but its better to be safe than sorry.

I know someone that got something similar at around the same age. Her parents had the lumps surgically removed asap. She's been doing fine ever since.

What can i say, i had the same growth in my right bossom since 2008 which was when i noticed it. At first i thought it was a normal thing, but when i attended a seminar on lump in the breast i came back home and examined my self,lo n behold it was a lump. i when to the hospital to confirm and it was. The dr. told me if its not remove it will turn to cancer after 5yrs that was 2010. i came home could not tell anyone cos my mum was hypertensive. i prayed daily n trusted God for a miracle, not until july this year i went to the hospital again but this time the story had change. After the dr. was done examining, he said it could not fine anything. why am i saying all this? just to let you know that dr. report is not God's report. so dnt panic just go and remove it if u want to. your wife is save.
