Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Hiclasneki(f): 7:21am On Nov 13, 2009 |
My cousin and her boyfriend have dated for 2 years now with this kind of love which you and I will undoubtedly term"an emulative love". My cousin gave ma a call inviting me for the convocation which I gladly attended. Her boyfriend was the happiest on that day from what I saw because he clung to her more than a monkey would cling to the branch of a tree. By that I knew he loved her to a fault and will never think of having a break up. It came my greatest amazement a month later when I went on a visit to see her and I was told that he broke up with her because she came out with a 3rd class, Guys and chics (especially d guys), please is it for the love or for the brains?? Cos to me the guy took a baby step rather than a bold one. |

He knew that now she had finished schooling the next topic will be marriage, and he was looking for an excuse to dump her. But the 3rd class excuse was the dumbest I have ever heard, because having dated for close to two years he must have known her level of IQ. |

These are short words already, how much shorter can we make them before they disapper all together? @ Topic Once I decipher the post, i'll respond. |

na2day?: HA HA HA HA.its true sha but we cnt blame her may be its de guy sef dt dnt make her to be serious wt school work.its funny sha to break up wt sum1 cos of that, its a flimsy excuse. On the other hand maybe the girl is to dull and the guy doesnt want to give birth to olodo children. In conclusion, what he did is wrong or are educated pple not getting married to illiterates? Having a 3rd class doesnt mean someone cannot succed in life,a lot of pple dt had 3rd class are making it big time. |

na2day?:you don graduate? if so u should know dat not every1 with a 3rd class is an olodo. so many of this 'good' degrees are 'backyard' degrees. it's unfortunate for her sha, but the guy just wanted an opportuinity to bail. |

Some people take education seriously, and it forms an integral part of their selection of a life partner. Me sef go dump that girl very sharply, how do u start to present someone who doesn't have a first, or second class degree to your family where almost everyone has a first?? What was she doing when others were reading? How are we even sure that the so called 3rd class is a true reflection of her grade? What future ambition does she have with a 3rd class degree? It will be ok for someone who believes family has no role to play in your choice of a life partner, but for people like me, it is absolutely important that family is as comfortable as i am in the beginning because thats how it will be in the end - strong as a rock. Its a matter of choice abeg, the guy left her but she gave him reason to do that, if he wanted out but didnt find any easy escape route, he wouldn't come up with this act, she should first do her homework. She go just dull all him pikin |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by spikedcylinder: 10:00am On Nov 13, 2009 |
I don't blame the guy. Everyone has the right to choose who they want to be with and if he doesn't want to be with her - 3rd class and all - he has rights to leave. |

@poster! What is it with men sef? A man may not want to marry a woman because of her poor grades but a man that is barely a primary school certificate holder will be looking for a Phd holder to marry! The 3rd class babe should see it as a challenge and make herself better cos the Loser wil come running to her someday in the future. I know a couple of my friends that graduated with 3rd class and even pass that are living way better than those that have 1st class and second class! |

spikedcylinder: Yes he does have a right to leave, but he should be man enough to say why he actually wants to leave and not hinge his leaving on just any excuse |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by SisiKill1: 10:38am On Nov 13, 2009 |
Maybe he thought all the time she should have used to study to be. . . Ya know first class, she was busy partying, he therefore concluded that she musta cheated on him and that's why he broke up with her. Guys can be weird like that with their thought process. shrugs |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Nobody: 10:41am On Nov 13, 2009 |
na2day?: Are you the not same person forcing a girl to marry a non-graduate! At lease she's a graduate. But seriously, I dont think Examination is the true test of one's ability. Besides in some schools and departments, 3rd class is like a 2nd class upper in other. The guy leaving her because she graduated with a 3rd class is just an excuse. Maybe he has been having a problem with her IQ all along! |

@spiky you sound like a genius . . . @whitelexi you are giving people most especially ladies additional ammunition to gang up on you again . . . EDIT: @topic Its sad but the reality of life is that people make choices (however stupid and genuine they are) . . . I just pity ladies cus they are usually the ones that invest a lot of emotions into relationship. The truth of the matter is that just as ladies want to marry up (i.e. someone a little better than they are), guys also want to marry someone close to them or above them. . . its bad but true. That is why you find so many successful ladies that are still single, mainly because the reality is that its rare for such a lady to go for a man thats not as successful in the least. The natural tendency is for such ladies to go for someone that is a little better on either the academic or financial scale. For example: Some men would marry a woman so long as she is beautiful irrespective of her academic status. Some men would not marry a woman that does not fit their taste in women whether or not she is a genius or not. Yes i know the reasons sound stupid but the reality of life is that people make choices . . . |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Yoighaman(m): 10:49am On Nov 13, 2009 |
Different strokes for different folks. The guy in question could tolerate laziness or even disrespect from her but not a third class; not weird though. So sad for the lady but I honestly do not concur with his excuse; we’ve got brilliant and successful “third-ies” Whatever his motives are, it is “something” that must terminate a relationship. |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Nobody: 10:50am On Nov 13, 2009 |
No2Atheism: So go to the other thread and tell them to stop complaining because a lady refused to marry a non-graduate! |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Nobody: 10:52am On Nov 13, 2009 |
whitelexi: Quite ignorant, I know people with 3rd class who have gone on to do bigger and better things. |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Niseed(m): 10:56am On Nov 13, 2009 |
quite shallow to dump a babe over a 3rd class. jeez! at least she has a degree which is more than some people can say. I have met some real dumbasses with first and second class degrees and wonder how they even managed to pass their GCSEs or got into University. Anyway im more concerned about the person and their experience rather than a piece of paper. That sucker should wake up and smell the coffee, life has a way of kicking you in the nutz when you least expect it, I wish the girl the best of luck, she's lucky shes rid of the guy that is clearly insecure about not being able to provide for both of them. Fake guy!!! |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by Nobody: 10:57am On Nov 13, 2009 |
Ebonyeyes: pls help me tell him oh. Third class can never determine anybody's destiny! Some very great men started out very badly in school. Like I said, examination is not the true test of ones abilities! |
Re: Dumped Because She Had A 3rd Class by na2day2(m): 11:00am On Nov 13, 2009 |
madambini: it is called choice, nothing do the guy. when a girl does it to a guy, she must have a good reason, when a guy does it to a girl, all hell breaks loose Godmother: his excuse is her grade, why cant u take him 4 his word? Ujujoan: he probably stuck with her 4 that long to prevent her from coming out with a pass romsky: and get what kinda job in 2days world? meggieblac: i see u are very cultured, carry ur stupidity outta ma faze sharp sharp! |
