New semester starts in September, no students irrespective of nationality can come to Cyprus this period even if no Corona considering the fact that student can only be registered during the entry period this way such student can get the residency permits.

So it’s too early for any student to come to Cyprus now. Students often starts to arrive from end of August.

Due to this pandemic; Immigration is yet to pass conditions or rule to any university as to when students are allowed into the country or if any student will be allowed this year.

It was a typo lol

But I read somewhere that one would be asked to qurantine for 14 days?
These are People with permit/tourist not new students, resumption for new session is still September and you are not expected to come in now even if you got an adminsion already, so you can get your adminsion down and hopefully fly in then , the rules for new students to enter then would be updated probably before resumption dates

I don’t need to check the VoisCyprus regarding the arrival of new or old students to Cyprus. I have known the rules/policy/regulations for more than 13 years and I am part of the university promotional team that relate with the ministry of education directly...also I have direct access to voiscyprus..the top echelon is part and parcel of my former PHD STUDENT.

Admission is opened since April in almost all the universities in Cyprus and you can apply. Many students have made the payment as well.

Applying for admission and travelling to Cyprus as a new student are two different things. The entire universities will have meetings with the ministry of education, immigration and Turkish representative towards the end of July or early August to make a decision on the possibility of the arrival of the newly admitted students.

Those students that are admitted and paid fees, if eventually are not able to resume in Sept 2020, the university is looking at ways to allow them to start the semester online from wherever they are and those will be able to come another semester when there is full control on the Pandemic. This is consistent with other countries like Canada and many others.

So if you wish to apply, please go ahead........normally, Freshman student often arrives from late August so no need to rush and disturb yourself.

That’s the registration fee payment if the students get 100% scholarship and is currently 200$ per semester as stated there and can change anytime.

Take note: applicants awarded 100% scholarship for undergraduate studies often have remarkably high Olevel result (large number of A grades in relevant subjects), other high academic/extracurricular records and sometimes with very high SAT/TOEFL. Also; each university do have country quota for it per year.

No direct or authoritative answer to this type of question since many variables are involved especially if the money is paid from overseas.
I have seen cases of just 2-5 days and I have seen cases of more than 2 months and cases where the money never reflected over several months.....

If paid within the same country within 2 days the local bank often update the university...

Direct this question to the account office of the specific university if you transfer the money directly yourself.

Thanks professor Wip, though I have sent the evidence of payment to the school, the money was paid to the school account from the United States yesterday.

From my personal experience, it takes 12-72hrs from USA for the money to reflect in TRNC banks because there often no correspondent/intermediary banks ......wait for the university to update you!

Nigerian banks if no issues often generate telex copies 2-7 days and goes through intermediary banks majorly in USA for dollar deposit. If all parameters are okay; 3-10 days UBA should arrive.

Meanwhile; I made payment via my company account based with Access bank 3 days ago for a tuition fee of 2200$ to Cyprus, it’s took 48 hrs and in total 65$ charges including beneficiary and transfer charges.
