But their money is not in MMM. Their money has been given away to participants who joined MMM earlier than them, including the organizers of MMM and the top guiders who withdrew millions just before MMM crashed. The money you see when you log into the MMM website does not exist anywhere. It's not in any bank account. It's just numbers on a computer, which is no better than your likes on Nairaland. If MMM is reactivated in January, everyone will immediately try to get help and and it won't work because nobody would be stupid enough to provide help.

But brother, if this system eventually spring back to life on Jan 1, people go ridicule Ur name ooooo

Girlbestfriend:
ON MMM

You got into many relationships that didn't work, and no one is mocking you. You got into a marriage that crashed, yet your friends are not on facebook mocking you, and you haven't killed yourself. Your many attempts at businesses have failed and you lost monies, yet you are still alive. You have taken many risks that never paid off, yet you are still moving on with hope.

Now you advised your friend not to do MMM, but he went for it anyways. MMM is frozen for 30days, atleast so we heard, and you find joy in taking to facebook to mock your friend JUST TO BE PROVED RIGHT. Same way you pray for the failure of the government you didn't vote for JUST TO BE PROVED RIGHT.

I have taken time to read the MMM freezing report, it is a shame that you have decided to take that report out of context, add salt and pepper to cause panic and unnecessary tension. Many people have fainted because they read your false version of MMM story.

Even if they were stupid, must you add to their sorrow?

Don't you have any shame sire? Are you not a hypocrite?

If that young man came to you for help, even to borrow money before MMM, would you have given him? How many of you have helped poor people the way MMM has in the last year(i speak based on the testimonies in the mouth of Nigerians). In October i met a young man in Port Harcourt who moved from someone's house as a squater to a one-bedroom apartment and i still remember the joy with which He glorified God for MMM. How many people have glorified God for your help and support, STINGY YOU!

There is a high level of moral bankruptcy in this nation. People are more willing to celebrate the pains of fellow Nigerians than anything else. It is the same reason they go to accident scenes, and their first impulse is not to help but snap and post gorry pictures on facebook to extract AMEN from people.

If you know you have never done things that failed in your life, then continue mocking your MMM friends.......
God bless!!!

I didn't do MMM and I don't care about those who did it. I was invited many times but i can't ever do such a program, it's not for me.

I can never be jealous of any man's success because, simple question - How does it affect me negatively?

Did I join the warning Crew? Yes, lightly just as someone who loves contributing to social discuss

It wasn't my business when they're making the doe, it's also not my business now when they're loosing it

Of all warning, the one that I was shocked people didn't heed to was the one MMM put on the website themselves

"USE YOUR SPARE MONEY" , it's a clear warning but as usual, my people used, School fees, House rent, Salary and very important project money.

I hope people learn their lessons, no matter how much you loose, life goes on! No amount is worth your life, if you choose to stay alive, you can still make 100 times the money you lost, my advice STAY ALIVE!

Even on my MMM whatsapp group many people have faith in the system and are talking of providing help in January.

Lol

Making pledges and talking about providing help is nothing. Talk is cheap! When it's time to actually transfer the money, they won't be able to do it. Some people who made profits because they joined early might risk a fraction of their profits, but it won't be enough to save MMM.
Well-said. . .

I hate the very fact that I have to wade into this MMM talk. For starters, I did NOT participate in the MMM scheme, even though I understood their business model.

It is sinful to desire to see the downfall of others so you can say, "I told you". That's Satan's way of doing things, not God. Never God.

Furthermore, there are several reasons for feeling restrained from participating in anything. It could be God, your spirit, level of exposure, experience, etc. As a believer, please, if you aren't sure of which, do not pin an unrelated scripture to it and say "God said..." Rather, tell the truth and leave it at that.

Finally, I hope the scheme comes up in January -- it should actually -- so that people can pull their money.

Writer: Eke Diligence.

Out of everything you wrote, this is the only thing that really caught my attention. You say you did not participate in the ponzi scheme but as i see it, you should have. You have the mentality for it. It is always funny when i see people using God to justify or cover up their ignorance. "That's Satan's way of doing things, not God. Never God" Lol. People blame the devil mostly when common sense does not dwell in them. e.g, you drive a car with no fire extinguisher or insurance. It burns down or get's stolen and the next thing you hear is "the devil is a liar/God will do it". God nor the devil did not push Nigerians into MMM. Greed and ignorance did. That anyone should be told that a multi level pyramid scheme will fail is flabbergasting to me. If Nigerians had bothered to do a little research they would have been informed that in every country MMM has been, they have failed or about to fail. But no. They'd rather use their MB to twit and facebook about useless things. Every single person who losses money because of MMM deserves it. Next time, they will not let greed take over their senses.

I know many ordinary participants and guiders that have pledged to provide help on the site even before the temporary freeze and their pledge is still upstanding on the site even when they can easily withdraw it and cancel it.

Personally I will provide help to others, no matter how small, God wiling, because I don't want to see people lose money.

Please please bro. I have been quite mute about this whole madness. But don't be so stupid as to the extent of calling God's name over such a dumb and horrible scheme to rob some to pay others.
What business did u and ur guiders do to make up to 30% profit. When it's so clear that you robbed A in other to make B happy and the madness continues.
What's help and give help?
The only helpers are the new zumbies coming into the scheme. Abi u get oil well where u buy and sell and get profit.
I understand is poverty driven but lets keep it at the stupidity level knowing the very things inherent in this show of intellectual dumbness.
If u have been given 30% please return it to the victims u have stolen from who are currently stranded if u know ur God

I can never understand how some Nigerians think! Their thought process is beyond whack! In advanced nations, when a scheme goes wrong or shows signs of trouble, the masses come out to completely challenge such schemes. It's not a matter of anger, jealousy or sincerity rather it's all about truth, justice and morality. Have we become so poor in this country that we are willing to do anything to get rich quick? What type of a nation allows such schemes to prosper? I believe the guiders and promoters should all be rounded up and prosecuted if this scheme does not resume proper operations. I also suggest people stop this blind sympathizing and start questioning the basic framework of MMM. How does the system make money for the owners? What is the end game? What happens if more people get help than actually gives help? Nigerians must wake up and start using common sense for once!
How's it affecting you?

An illiterate created the biggest forum in africa which has benefitted so many people. Am sure the so called MMM that you just insulted him for, some people joined it by virtue of hearing of it on Nairaland. What he just analysed is the truth and not ignorance. Even if his assumptions dont come to reality in January, it will come to reality one day. People talk about the 30% forgetting that 10% is paid on referrals, 3%-10% is paid on video testimonies, then guider and leadership bonuses. These all comes from money not invested anywhere.

If you think am also ignorant, i will tell you a little about myself as someone who has worked directly with the owners of wonder banks in 2008 to 2010, as someone who has invested in forex wonder investment schemes, invested in hyips, and so many more...

I fall under the second category, not because I don't want people to progress but because I hate laziness and idleness.
When I see people working hard and making money, I praise and commend them not the ones who borrow money to do MMM and then sit in their houses doing nothing.
If these schemes are allowed to continue, it will affect the economy negatively; I don't think anybody will want to work for a month and earn 30k as salary when they can sit at home and get that same 30k doing nothing.
If every petty trader decides to leave their businesses to partake in these schemes, then I wonder who would be left to sell petty things.

In order words you wish to keep things the way they are because you're comfortable where you are in the system. I'm not a big fan of MMM, but I do believe there's a need to change things, not the mavrodi way tho.

Isn't it clear that the same SA system will be applied? New mavros system will be introduced and those in the old system will be promised their money back while being encouraged to join the new system. Does this make sense to you? Are you so deep in this that your mind is also defrauded?

Not really, I just think it would be better if we all work hard and use our brains to be creative rather than being lazy.
I'm not really against MMM but Nigerians are taking it too far as if their lives depends on it.

I stopped in early November cos I would have been stupid to pledge in december
people like me also affected the system cos if we pledged the PH would have Rose up

but I was not overly scared of it crashing as to why I did not provide help. crashing is inevitable for MMM cos they spent people's money too much to prove a point that MMM is here to stay.
d real reason I stopped was guilty conscience. that wen MMM finally crashes, all my proceeds will be from new people who obviously may b broke and just wanna help themselves. I gained only 80k from MMM in 2 months.

please, if u are stranded now as a result of d 80k I collected, please forgive me, it's just that, there is no one in particular I can ever return the money to.
This is why I did not join. The funds could be from a poor Akara seller hoping to get more money for her family. Why take money from someone when I don't need help? How will I sleep knowing I took advantage of someone's gullibility.

I think its a bit too premature predicting the demise of the scheme. I'm not a participant, and I'm yet to understand the context of providing "help", but I'll give it to the MMM faithfuls, they seem to be staunch believers.
Can everybody just cool down and wait till the January deadline?
