My life on Campus wasn't all that bad. It was quite interesting I have to admit. University life taught me a whole lot, it wasn't just all about academics or reading gigantic books but about how you adapt and socialize in the environment you find yourself. And Quiet frankly, ever since myself and my ex, Precious parted ways, I've always been a lone ranger. I hardly talk to girls any more because I felt like ''all girls are the same'' typical ''CHEATs''. All my friends had girlfriends but I was the only one who didn't have. I began to feel like something was probably wrong with me. ''Why do I dislike girls so much'' I wondered ''because of an error made my a particular girl, I shouldn't just generalize or come to drastic conclusion that all girls are the same. There should be some good ones out there, they aren't all that bad''. I pondered on this thoughts for days and weeks and I decided to give myself another trail. On a very wonderful Sunday, I woke very early in the morning around 6:30am to prepare for church activities. I took a cold bathe, brushed my teeth and got dressed in my new long sleeve and a black trouser. I went into kitchen and prepared myself bread, fried egg and milk. Bread and egg every Sunday had become a normal routine in my hostel, it had become a part of my life. Anyways, I took my bible and headed straight to church after eating. When I got to church I was ushered in by the Ushers in charge that day. I was taking to the front sit. It felt so awkward. I really disliked sitting at the front sit, because whenever the pastor speaks and stares at the people sitting down at the front roll, it's as if he was talking directly to me. Anyways, I had no choice but to sit down at the front sit jejely. I couldn't object the ushers decision. In no time, church service began to start fully, followed by song of praise. While I was busy dancing to the rhythm of the song, sang by the choir, I saw this beautiful lady coming towards my direction. I began to pray silently, hoping she sits right beside me. Luckily she did. I looked at her and smiled, she smiled back. I began to feel butterflies doing picnic in tummy. The pastor began with his sermon. '' ooh! My fellow brethren, I know things are not easy right now, but I can assure you that before this year comes to an end, you'd be counting your blessings like Father Abraham'' . The whole congregation replied with a resounding ''AMENNNNNNNN'' ''Brothers and Sisters listen attentively'' the pastor said looking directly into my eyes ''don't let the devil use you. I know your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak, but try to be upright, remember the wages of sin is death'' . On hearing this words my heart skipped. I began to pray for forgiveness of my sins. But I was interrupted by one of the members of the congregation who stood up shouting ''ooooooooh! Pastor, I dey feel you. Ride on. Ride on. You too much''. This was followed by a round of applause by members of the congregation. I looked at the babe sitting down very close to me, but I couldn't resist how beautiful she was. She was dame. She was light skinned, not too curvy but had the perfect shape of a model. Me: hope you're enjoying the sermon girl: yeh! The pastor is trying. Me: is this your first time coming? Girl: yeh! Me: okay, you're welcome. may I know your name please. Girl: my name is Joan. Me: wao. Nice name. Can I have your digit. If you don't mind, so I can always call if there's any thing commencing, regarding church activities. Girl: we are still in church o. Probably after service I will give you. I couldn't wait for service to come to a close, because I felt the pastor was referring to me. The truth was largely written with invisible pen on my forehead. ''Take it or leave it.
