Scores Injured In Biafra, Police Deny Killings...BBC by iamhorny(m): 5:47pm On Jan 20, 2017
Scores of people have been injured during a solidarity rally in Port Harcourt by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in support of the inauguration of Donald Trump as US President. The pro Biafra members in their hundreds converged in Port Harcourt this morning from different states in eastern and southern Nigeria.

They were confronted by soldiers with military trucks and tanks and prevented from proceeding further into Port Harcourt main town. Reports indicate many members of the group, mostly women and youths, were injured with various degrees of bullet injures and bruises when the soldiers opened fire to disperse the procession. Traffic and commercial activities were paralysed in parts of Port Harcourt during the military operation to stop the rally.

Pro-Biafran news outlets have reported that about 10 people have been killed but police in Port Harcourt have denied any killing. They say they merely employed minimal action.

The activists have been campaigning for a breakaway state in the east of the country and endorsed the Republican candidate during the presidential race in the hope he would recognise their independence movement - especially after his comments about "self-determination" in regard to Brexit.

why is it that the Nig police and armed forces are always quick to react on ipob issue. or were they destroying property or causing civil unrest? these actions are making them become so popular now and days, bc it is becoming one of the dominant news in both foreign and local media.

Is now world history that Nigeria has the worst unprofessional force.
They should continue to kill civilians maybe when they are done with that they will begin to kill themselves. Since they are blood sucking demons in human form.

Anyone wondered why the president is always travelling whenever the armed forces will unleash mayhem on the peaceful protesters?

Calling those people a military is an insult to militaries. The same military that bombed a refugee camp, refused to secure South Kaduna, gave bakassi out with out a gun shot now invoke the rule of engagement against unarmed protesters. This is just an aberration and a slur on military institution

It is painful but it is the truth because all the jobless miscreants masquerading as IPOB/MASSOB are all Imolites. Why should they go and disturb the peace of Rivers state? Why didn't they take their protest to Owerri which hosts the largest population of IPOB/MASSOB?

Most of these protesters that were killed across Igbo cities which they have protested are all from Imo state, which means that IPOB/MASSOB is about 95% Imolites including its leaders. Below is an Imolite killed in Onitsha/PH by the soldiers.

You are daft. Wike has banned ipod protest of any form, be it in solidarity of kanu or trump or anyone in his state but it seems these Igbos are deaf. You cannot distrupt economic activities in a state for some stupid rally which permission has not been given and you expect law enforcement officers to fold their arms and look.
In the jungle called Africa, rallies not authorized are met with live bullets and lots of tear gas...we are not in America where police spray water cannons.

Nigga fear God now, this is a matter of unarmed citizens being sent to their early grave because of gross incompetence of the military force.

If you aren't a bigot and hate filled clown you would have scrolled down a lil bit but no you must be who you are...

Pathetic
