MyGeneration: Shut up, give me a credible link to prove your rat poison theory, not aba or onisha junk your fathers sold to you. Here is an account of your god Ojukwu fleeing away like an cowardly animal. On January 9 Maj. Timothy Onwuatuegwu escorted Ojuwku to the Uli airstrip where he boarded his private jet and fled to the Ivory Coast. Immediately after Ojukwu's departure President Effiong called for a ceasefire to discuss the details of surrender. On January 12 Philip Effiong, Joseph Achuzie, Ogbugo Kalu, and other Biafran officers made their way to Amichi and later Owerri to broadcast their final surrender to Col. Obasanjo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Tail-Wind After Awolowo dealt brutal blow to your fathers, the remnant of your leaders in rags and looking malnourished begged for mercy and surrendered to OBJ. 1 Like |

This proposal for inclusion of right of secession by the regions in independent Nigeria by the AG was rejected and resisted by NCNC which vehemently argued for a tightly bound united/unitary structured nation because it viewed the provision of a secession clause as detrimental to the formation of a Unitary Nigerian state. In the face of sustained opposition by the NCNC delegates, later joined by the NPC and backed by threats to view maintenance of the inclusion of secession by the AG as treasonable by the British, the AG was forced to renounce its position of inclusion of the right of secession a part of the Nigerian constitution. It should be noted that, had such a provision been made in the Nigerian constitution, later events which led to the Nigerian/Biafran civil war would have been avoided. The pre-independence alliance between the NCNC and the NPC against the aspirations of the AG would later set the tone for political governance of independent Nigeria by the NCNC/NPC and lead to disaster in later years in Nigeria. If Azikwe (NCNC) have listened to AG (Awolowo) about insertion the secession clause in the independent constitution, later events which led to the Nigerian/Biafran civil war would have been avoided Blame your forefathers Azikwe, Ironsi and Ojukwu for the mess Nigeria is in today. |

Re: Is The Southwest Planning A Break Away? by Nobody: 10:37am On Feb 20, 2017 |
Abeg allow make the two deam men stay dead. Na we we dey for show now, make we forget about Ojukwu, about Awolowo...dem don try for their own generation. When the brave acts prudently the stupid thinks its cowardice, but it takes the wise to understand this. But folly often makes the coward try to conceal his cowardice by doing things im no fit do. Then he gets people or himself killed. A hairy chest is not a sign of strength, but the careful planning of the wise wins more cities than the foolhardy outburst of the unwise. A lot can be understood about the Yorubas when you consider some of their proverbs. E.g., 1) A fearless warrior must know when to retreat: What purpose will your death serve when you shout no retreat, no surrounder against a far superior enemy 2) If you do not yet have a firm grip of a sword's helve you don't go about demanding how your father died: this advises that you don't start a fight when you have no means of winning it. I think it makes perfect sense to carefully plan your attack, and only launch out when you're prepared and have the wherewithal to defeat your opponent. There is absolutely nothing to gain or to learn in a defeat. What good then does your bravery serve when you are defeated? The defeated party remains the weak party. And yes in war, as in love, anything goes...direct assault, cunning- anything. A defeated brave man is a loser, and lost mostly because he refused to use his brain to plan well in advance...and yes, accepting truce and ceasefire is all part of war strategy. Someone already mentioned that if the Southwest will ever come out to call for recession, 70% of the job would have been done before we hear about it. I don't think this is a deficiency at all. I think it is a sound strategy, planning all moves like in chess before the open gambit. 1 Like 1 Share |

MyGeneration:yeah!! We are pigs just the way an average igbo lady bears fatherless children at her tender age. You can now see Yoruba isn't your problem, Your great great grand mothers are. They gave birth to Ojukwu and your likes out of mistakes they will never learn from. Your Ojukwu still came back begging for a political seat after he had wasted lives of senseless Igbo people like you, guess what? He was still termed Hero!! Illiteracy at it's peak. Who would i blame? When an average ibo folk knows nothing than the bunch of Okirika and fake products they sell. Here comes Kanu again causing nuisance, trying to use the people of the eroded land to achieve is political interest and there you are chanting Biafra when your crippled grand fathers haven't recovered from the shock. Mad fellows |

SouthEast001: From the dictionary of the flat heads, that's a perfect definition. Glad he took his own life rather than killing over 3 million souls( scores of hungry animals, raped dogs, savaged goats, captured rats and crying fowls all called Biafrans). Common sense isn't common down east at all |
Re: Is The Southwest Planning A Break Away? by Nobody: 11:02am On Feb 20, 2017 |
MyGeneration: I think you have issues. And until you realize that you're not going to be bold enough to seek help. Why must you attack everyone, the Yorubas in particular? What exactly have they done to you to attract such impossible degree of animalistic attack from you? You need a shrink, it not you are going to self-destruct pretty soon just like your dad Ojukwu. Now, that's a perfect example of dumb soldier, starting a battle he couldn't win. I say that of Ojukwu, not of any other Igbos, just like I could say the same of Hitler but not of other Germans. Pure and simple: Ojukwu led millions of Igbos to their death. Then he fled. He asked your young men to lay their lives down for a cause he was not willing to die for. That's not just cowardice, it is treachery. And then much later he aspired to be democratically elected as the president of a country he never believed in. That is two-faced treachery: the millions of people that lost loved ones in the 1960s ought to have accosted him and demanded from him an apology. So, please stop trying to rewrite history here. We are all Nigerians and we know our own story with exacting clarity. And by attacking people here you're shameless displaying your ignorance.... It is only men who lack ideas, who have nothing to contribute to a discussion, that bite and throw tantrums like you have been doing. |
