It always baffles me when they leave deserving career diplomats in the cold, and appoint outsiders as ambassadors. The knowledge gap for non-career diplomatic appointees is always too wide. Well, I hope Asekun will receive the proper training and support he needs to carry out his job. sad

Anyway, thank God - Onnoghen's appointment as Chief justice has finally been confirmed. Thank goodness they dropped that silly idea about appointing someone from the bar, straight to the CJ's position...
