South african companies have come to dominate our country, shoprite, dstv, mtn, i was having an arguement that these companies have so many working under them, chasing them away, in this recession would cause anarchy in the country as so many people are jobless already!

my questions are these..

1.would chasing them away have any effect on them and their economy?

2. if so how

3. chasing them away would affect which party more? them or us

It will harm us if there is no local replacement before we send them packing

Two wrongs don't make a right.. so they say

We'll be the ones at loss if the likes of MTN, MultiChoice, Shoprite etc. leaves.. massive job loss and revenue loss

I really wish South Africans can let peace reign and entertain round table talks instead of violence

i am not supporting s.a for the ridiculous and bizarre act but my question to you all is that HOW MANY SOUTH AFRICANS are employed to work with this multi national company here in Nigeria?
it is we Nigerians that will be the greatest looser at the end .

All these South African companies should be driven out of the country with immediate effect. Let them get out of this country and other African countries should follow up and AU and in fact the world in general should as a matter of urgency place serious economic sanctions on South Africa.
They should be isolated and left to to be alone, because it's not only Nigerians that are being attacked there, even Pakistanis and Indians are not left out in this cannibalistic act of these disgusting and disgracefully backward South Africans.
Let it serve as a lesson to other countries, because this xenophobic trend has a terrible possibility of catching on to other countries.

SA wont suffer at all, you just have to research in how many countries they have invested into. Most of SA companies invest heavily in China and east asia

If we wanna rid them, we don't send them away. In political economic terms, we nationalize their establishment and keep it going even after they had left. In such a scenario, Nigeria even gains

well it will be a big loss for Nigeria if these establishments are sent packing. especially now that we are in recession. I think there are other ways of resolving this, may be by sanctioning the south Africa government. , by providing
security for our citizens over there.

You just don't chase them away. You enact policies unfavorable for their operations in Nigeria. They will run away in frustration.

By the way, millions have lost their jobs since Buhari took power, did the country go into caos?

I do not see a reason why those companies cannot be nationalised and later sold to a competing Nigerian company that will keep the current workforce in place. It's a win win situation for us.
