ezewealth:

Excess vitamin c, is not dangerous to health,no matter how much u takes it. It is a water soluble vitamin,if it is in excess, it goes off thru sweat and urine. The only symptoms shows u have given enough vic c is that u start having blisters in your tongue. U notice if u lick excess orange or eat excess guava it be like you have a cut in your tongue. And secondly Fanta has little or no vic c

1 what is the ascorbic acid listed as one of the ingredients in fanta?

2 The blister on tongue when people lick or suck oranges is the mild corrosion of the acidic content.

3 what is the difference between ascorbic acid and citric acid

4 Toxicity is not absolute. Even water can cause intoxicated if taken in excess whereas snake venom in certain amount may not be toxic

5 Blister of the mouth which you mentioned aka oral mucosal lesion (nonthermal) is classified as disease under ICD (International Code for Disease)

1 even if there is ascorbic acid on Fanta it serves as an antioxidant or just to boost the nutritive content of the drink since is Fanta orange
2 citric acid and phosphoric acid serve the same purpose, u either use one of them.citric acid is mostly used in fruit drinks and can drinks, while in bottling companies Phosphoric acid is used

Blisters in the tongue is due excess ascorbic acid or hypervitaminosis c, it not only when you lick excess orange, is happens in guava and when you lick excess vit c tablet

No matter how much water u drink a day it doesn't pose any danger or toxicity unless its contaminated

Vitamins c doesn't cause blisters in the mouth that is not what I said, in fact, blister in the mouth can even be due to lack of some vitamins like vit b complex,D of C scurvy

This ought to have happened AGES ago.

It is so simple and doesn't require scientific knowledge to know that FANTA in the UK is very different from FANTA in Nigeria.

In UK, you can virtually taste the ORANGE in the Fanta Orange. In Nigeria, you know you are simply drinking some sweet colouring.

In better climes, Dr. Fijabi Adebo deserved a national award for going out of his way to prove this.

What we do to ourselves in Nigeria, by Nigerians to Nigerians - not colonial masters anything o! - is often atrocious, yet we perennially try to hide under a finger and blame others.

You should compensate that lady. At least pay her back half of the rent.
