My brother can you put yourself in her shoes for a minute? At age 14, where were you and what did you go through ? I'm sure your parents were taking good care of you. You ate what you like, your father or mother would have mentored you into the adult you are now.

I agree with your last sentence....well at 14,i didnt have a full glimpse of what I wanted to become,but I knew the things I had to do if I wanted to have a chance to be successful....with regards to the mentoring,I completely agree,Parents have a lot of work to do in that area....its not enough to provide food,shelter,clothing,education and such likes for the child,...mentoring is very important especially at a very young age...14 is even to late to start mentoring a child...the society offers so much for different ages....

your view is rather insensitive and shallow. She was a child at the time, rape destroys it's victim psychologically and leaves deep rooted issues that a silly mind like yours can't perceive. Oprah after more than one instance of sexually molestation from close family admitted to feeling worthless and growing up promiscuous. She admitted that it took years before she got help and understood that she wasn't just a promiscuous person for the fun of it, but her rape experiences. You gave golf facts and therefore unable to reason correctly. There's not much she could have done then, even adult women are unable to talk about rape..many women sometimes speak up 20/30 years later because if annoying, poorly developed adults like you who are too many in our society, people whose advanced age have very little to do with their sense of reasoning.
