Earlier, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, was around to sympathize with the family. There must be collateral damage in the fight against crime, and, unless we prefer to avoid reality, we ought to know that this is inevitable. Although it is saddening to hear about such an event, the policeman in question cannot be held liable , either in tort or criminal, if, the act which caused death wasnt negligent nor intentional respectively. Having said that, i hope the family is well compensated.
