Emotional inteligence is one of the most essential trait to surviving social frustrations and is the needed skill tp developing a tough skin (not letting anything get you angry or fustrated).
Sadly most people only develope their I.Q but never their emotional intelligence.
Imagine running into your bestfriend with your wife naked on your matrimonial bed, or your fiance on the bed with your sister, all this situations demand the need of emotional intelligence otherwise you might commit murder.
1. understand what you feel
knowing how you feel at every point is vital, are you angry, sad, confused, dazed etecera. Can help you make the right decision when faced with big emotional decsicions such as finances.
2. Know what emotion you exhibit the most
If you get angry very easily, knowing this can help you identify situations that can make you get angry easily, such as thinking about nigeria,or your finances or your account statement. Knowing what emotion you exhibit the most will let you control it.
