eyeview: I feel you Bro! I wish all these split talk can go to bed; rather, what we should be fighting for that may work is everyone managing what they have. Nobody will allow the country to split under his or her government even if we have an igbo president today, it won't happen because he knows the moment that happens, he ceases to be a president of Nigeria. 1 Like |

Nigeriadondie: That comment made by Former Senator Ita Enang who said that 90% of the oil wells were owned by the north has been exposed as a lie!! What is the proportion of northerners to the southerners who own oil wells? Uduimo Itsueli was one of the first owners of an independent exploration company that drilled oil wells in the Niger-Delta. He owns Dubri Oil. Is he a northerner? High Chief (Dr.) O.B. Lulu-Briggs, OON owns OML 114 which is one of the prolific oil wells in the Niger-Delta. Is he a northerner? OML 141 is another oil block owned by southerners. Emmanuel Egbogah is Chairman of Emerald Energy Resources that owns the oil well, while other shareholders are J.O. Amaefule, P.L. Caldwell, A.C. Uzoigwe, Amos NUR, C.N. Chieri, Femi Akingbe, and F.A. Njoku. They have owned the oil well since 2001. Sahara Energy Exploration Company owns OPL 284, 228, 332 and the owners are Tonye Cole, Ade Odunsi etc. Do they sound like northerners to you? Seplat Petroleum which is owned by Dr. Ambrosie Bryant Chukwueloka Orjiako and Austin Avuru own the following oil blocks - OPL 4, 38, and 41. They were granted the license since 2005. Are these gentlemen northerners, too? Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi, John Umeh, Nnenna Obiejiesi-Azudialu are the owners of OML 42. Their company, known as Neconde Energy produces between 30,000 and 70,000 barrels of oil per day. Are they northerners, as well? By the way, he owns 4 private jets, o! |

lebete3000: Asaba has and will always be a part of Igbo land. I read a book by a british explorer on the classification of tribes. The igbo are classified into 3parts. the Midwestern igbo (Asaba, Anioma, Agbor Okpanam etc) Central Igbo( Awka, Owerri, Aba, Arochukwu, Onitsha, Azumini Afikpo, Abakaliki, Nsukka, Ogidi, etc) and the Coastal or the Niger delta Igbos( Ndoni, Ikwerre etc). It was just a move to reduce Igbo political influence after the war that some of them choose not to be called Igbo like the Ikwerre, but one day there will be an Igbo rennaisance and all this divisions planted by the North would end. 1 Like |

laudate:I never said it is entirely owned by the northerners but far more northerners than southerners had it. Thanks to d legacy of military rule dominated by the north https://www.google.no/amp/s/guardian.ng/news/niger-delta-indigenes-to-get-oil-blocks-to-douse-tension/amp http://www.herald.ng/niger-delta-avengers-reveals-list-oil-blocks-owned-atiku-top-nigerians/ Nigeria is about 57 yrs and d north had 37 yrs while d south had mere 20 yrs. Nigeria has had 25 indigenious chief of army staff, 17 from d north and a paltry 8 from d south. 18 chief of air staff 10 from d north and 8 from the south, Most of d military installations are concentrated in a section of d country. |

obynzo: There are parts of Ondo that also don't claim Yoruba but Niger Delta instead...but does that make Ondo southsouth? Asaba is very close to Onitsha as they share the bridge which makes it have a mixture of Igbo there...but doesn't make Delta biafra but Purely southsouth same way you have mixtures of Mexicans around the US border but doesn't make those places a Mexican territory. That's it. Ps Asaba means nothing to Deltans, infact you can have it as far as they're concerned....Warri is the heart of Delta. #Warri! |

eyeview:my dear you hit it well. Most alaba boys, upper eweka boys, oba market boys were Neva tutored well by their parents that Asaba people, aniomas , ukwuanis are among the then biafra struggle consummated by Ikemba nnewi of Blessed Memory. Chief Ojukwu's successes was embedded in unified philosophy,he saw all Igbo tribes irrespective of dialectic differences as one entity, stating tht "onu nasi ndo, nnoo, bia, biko" were one indivisible Igbo nation. But today my igbo bros are so selfishly discriminatory and ripping their painful reward for their invisible ignorance and stigmatization. They should learn tht the variety of igbo tribe will spice up their lives at the long run. 1 Like |

Nigeriadondie: Guy, check the list of oil block owners issued by DPR or any reputable organisation. Only few northerners have blocks that have produced oil. More southerners own oil blocks, than northerners. In fact, most of the oil blocks owned by northerners have NOT produced any oil, and their licenses would soon expire. As for military chiefs and location of military installations, you are just digressing from the real issue. Open another thread, and list your grievances there. |
