we have no connection with Adam, this your story looks somehow bro, although the Bible made us believe Adam was the first man to live this earth, but we shouldn't accept it because the Bible said so, our forefathers never knew of Egypt or isreal.

we only trace our origin to bini.

Why Benin?

The Benin narrative should be somehow to you given that there is no similarity in view of life, perspective and ideology in anyway

I will help your confusion. If a people go to extreme measures to hide their identity and they are strong people who could fight.. Or fight back. It means the opposition was strong, not strong, god-like strong. Also means they came from afar, by meaning afar means extremely far so the pursuer would not have clues to where they weren't meaning completely out of orbit.

The northern boundary and deserts means it couldn't be from the Northern region due to the desert conditions. Also, the Bini postulation is inaccurate because of the proximity of/in locations and absolute difference in everything.

Have you all not noticed no matter how traced to its origins, it ends in absolute nothing?

Meaning a several catastrophe and severe massive and rampant deaths was the very beginning. This was never recorded in the entire history of humankind in Western Africa meaning the origins were from farther than this

If there was no written or oral documentation of their history as you have asserted.

How come you stumbled upon the history you stated above?

BTW: My understanding has been that, the Isokos descended from Benin and that, the Uhrobos are a breakout faction from the Isokos.

Given the dominant trait culture that is evident in Urhobos, they could never be from a lesser dominant gene pool. Which makes them the isoko breakout faction false

@Efewestern:

This thread is a kind of pseudo-history. The Op is not the first to venture into this waters. We have the likes of Dr. Charles Osume who wrote a book titled The Okpe People, as well as Bobson Gbinije, among others. Their argument is that Urhobos originate directly from Egypt. While the theory is plausible, it is inherently flawed because all Urhobo myths, legends and historians trace our origin to Aka (Benin) or Ife (in the case of some clans).

I only appreciate this thread because it foregrounded Urhobo people. However, everyone should be wary of its content and regard it as purely pseudo-history. Urhobos are from Udo in Ancient Benin and we arrived our current lands at different migratory waves. Some Urhobo clans came from Isoko and some Isoko clans came from Urhobo. That is the standard academic history of Urhobo people.

I challenge this indoctrination

Urhobo migrated from "AKA" not "EDO". At the time Urhobo left, the Kingdom and land of the Ogisos was then known as "AKA". The terms "EDO" and "BENIN" are recent names which came into use only after the collapse of the Ogiso Dynasty and the subsequent emergence of the Oba Dynasty. The collapse of the "OGISO DYNASTY" and its replacement with "OBA DYNASTY" brought a change of name from "AKA" to "EDO". In fact, the name EDO was believed to have been introduced by Oba Ewuare the Great to immortalized a certain servant who saved his life during his struggle to ascend the Benin royal throne.

Now this is someone experienced doing the talking.

Oniovo Mathy I think disagree slightly here. After the Aka(Benin) connection, and then the Ijaw mixing associated with the migratory journeys, Urhobo and Isoko people to me have more to do with Igbo than Yoruba in my assessment.

There are Urhobo and Isoko Clans today who trace their history directly to Igboland... Evwreni(with Igbide and Enwhe) is a classic example. Infact, many Isoko clans, a good number of them, claim Igbo origins.
Let's leave stories and look at what we have now... Check out the Urhobo and Isoko dance steps, see our pre-colonial political systems, look at our traditional worship systems and symbols, check out the foods we have, look at the dressing, check the attires of maidens(Epha), of our preists and warriors etc. Look at them and do some comparison and contrasting with Igbo on the one hand and Yoruba on the other hand and you'll understand my point better.
We kobiruo Oniovo.

Those dance steps and like similarities were from ancient settlement even before settlement in Nigeria. Isoko Urhobos have more in common and close by clans meaning their previous settlement existence were close to one another

God bless you! It's unfortunate that the truth is being derided with set of preconceived notions from ignorant minds, in place of finding out if these things were in deed true. In fact, some Urhobos, these days, are not proud of their rich cultural heritage.

The fact that it is strange does not make it a lie. Just as you've said, "We should learn to ask the good questions like how and when and why and where, not cursing and ranting when we know NOTHING."

Thanks Oniovo.

Egypt Na. Where's the physical genetic expression. In what form of conformity does the two people share, culturally, ideologically and likewise?

This is total rubbish and an insult to the Urhobos. Why would they flee from Egypt if they are originally from Egypt? secondly most Urhobos today believe in God and worship God. They do not practice no Egyptian religion or culture. Urhobos are Israelites so OP stop misleading people with your lies and fake historical proofs.

How can Urhobo be Israelites? What kind of talk is that?

As many have already said, all these attempts at connecting to the middle east is just a wannabe attitude
OP just woke up and started writing whatever came to his mind.. No source, no evidence, no research, nothing, just imagination
