The revenue generation tilts more to the southwest cos of the presence of the nation's seaports. Establish ports in the SS and see all this stats balancing.
The proximity of businesses close to ports is a major factor here. Check the revenues of those farther from the seaports and you'll understand perfectly.

You guys always have excuses! Chai! What stops the 5 SE states from establishing a joint port? Do you know that while you are busy arguing and complaining, Lagos is building a new port in Badagry? Kontinue developing other people's regions you here! Oshi!

I hope Nnamdi Kanu and his bunch of IpOb miscreants are not alien to facts. I wonder what they'll survive on given the stats above if their feeble dream of Biafra becomes a reality.

If we are to hold the view that Lagos state economy is being dictated by the igbos, then we must remove lagos state out of the stat, which then brings souht west down to an equal level with south east ( 5 - 5 states).
However, if we are to deduct lagos state's N302,425,091,969 from the total south west IGR N414,847,500,567 then we will be having roughly about N110...,...,..., which still EXCEEDS the total south east IGR N49,934,646,220.
My point is: even without lagos state, south west still beats south east in terms of IGR.
I fink it is high time my igbo brothers acknowledge the fact that Performane and noise making are two parallel lines
i stand to be corrected in my calculation.

You make a good point there.

Please note that economic activities in the north-east has suffered greatly from the war against Boko Haram. Another thing that is clear from this statistics is that every region in Nigeria depends on oil from the Niger Delta. It is not as if they can't work harder to survive without oil money, but if you compare what they're generating currently to what they're receiving in federation account allocation, then you would understand why they're so lazy.
.
Another thing from the statistics is that the South-West is the only region in Nigeria that can survive right now no matter what happens in the oil industry. Funny enough, they're also the only region making the least noise and focusing completely on development. No wonder the economy of the country is controlled by individuals from that region.
.
Another thing to point out from this statistics is that the south-east has no superiority claim over the north. It is pure wickedness for those who clamour for Biafra to watch the economy of that region suffer while they preach about what would've been if they had their pipe dream. Why have all those who are promising to make Biafra heaven on earth not coming up with those ideas to improve the IGR of the south-eastern states, so as to at least improve the living condition of the people living there? Look at Lagos, look at Ogun, look at Kano, look at Rivers State and the high IGR they all command... Igbos are one of the biggest contributors to those IGRs, not by force but by choice, and they do so by freely associating with people from those regions. But Ogun State alone generates more revenue than all the south-eastern states combined, which means that on the strength of this statistics, it is arguable that the Igbos do better by associating with other people, and will perform woefully by staying on their own.

Why is the SW region shown to generate highest revenue the most terrified region to hear about break up of Nigeria?

North got ready to leave Nigeria since 1999 when north drew the borders for a Sharia country with adoption of Sharia criminal codes.

Go back to your oil palm or cocoa or groundnut plantation.

Stop fooling yourselves with jaundiced statistics promoted by those now in control of Nigeria.

Let those intent on leaving the most dysfunctional country in the world, Nigeria, leave.

I wonder why Lagos is not clamouring for true federalism where most resources are supposed to be controlled by states instead of seeking for special status. Even the Niger Delta would have no choice but to diversify if we practise true federalism. Almost every state has the potential to develop but because of the free money coming from oil, they've become lazy.

Did that aspect skip ur dirty mind? and islamic caliphate want to do away with nigeria why dont you lecture them on how to improve igr like the biafrans? They need it badly too. Did biafran kill anybody? I
i really wonder why we have to pay for the Norths ineptitude , Boko Haram is just a symptom of the greater problem, the inability for the divide between the haves and haves not to be bridged, northerners are raised in penury, the rulers keep them in poverty not only economically but mentally, coupled with the population explosion ,like Sanusi said they are raising an army of destitutes, i wonder what became of the almajiri schools put up by Jonatthan, Boko Haram will never die in the North, except there is a serious cultural shift, which i dont see coming ,and we have spent billions of oil money fighting a lost avoidable cause

When the industries imports their raw materials where is it coming from?
Most traders that troop to Lagos daily where is there wares coming from.? Do you think that if there is a port in Onne, calabar, Onitsha, Lokoja that the numbers will remain same? Get an education boy.

I ain't envious of SW, not at all. I am just having a conversation. Damn it.

By this your logic, if the port was in port harcourt the south east igr will increase, how? PH is in south south, so having a porth in PH will not change shit for your landlocked potopoto region, it will only increase south south IGR. Igbos has the highest number of entrepreneurs.

Gilbert Chagoury.

These are the biggest real estate players in Lagos. You are free to google and counter this fact.

You mentioned Pharmceutical, which supposed to me your only claim to manufacturing in Nigeria, only Emzor is wholly owned by Igbos, just like Mopson is wholly owned By Yoruba, Fidson, Chemiron, Glasosmikline and May & Baker are diluted.
So tell me what you want to brag on.
It's not by noise but facts on ground

You guys always have excuses! Chai! What stops the 5 SE states from establishing a joint port? Do you know that while you are busy arguing and complaining, Lagos is building a new port in Badagry? Kontinue developing other people's regions you here! Oshi!

Okay, guy.. We av heard, south eastern states are no match to south western states.. But what is the headache of Nigerians when it comes to Biafra?

South easterners will suffer if they get Biafra.. Is it ur suffering?

We are talking about development pls... All these regions with all the revenue they generate are still backward.. Things are not working o..

Allow south easterners to go and suffer na.. Is it ur suffering? Stop bashing them.. South west is better but the region is not Dubai.. South south is still jot developed..
For these country to move forward,, pls allow each regions to manage their resources.. Bikooo...
