ivolt:No offence but I think those who cut corners always have it easier in Nigeria. Those who import through the wrong means always know who to bribe and get their goods cleared without much delay but most times, even if you follow the right processes, they will still ask for bribe and if you don't pay, you get delayed. 1 Like |

Viking007: Please leave these federal liars Site does not work Jaiz (Aboki Bank) is now somehow better than the 25 certified commercial banks we have in Nigeria... Jaiz is now more technologically advanced than Zenith,GTB,FirstBank and the likes... Na wa o What is left for us to see next ? This government has lost it completely And of the thousands of cars seized yearly or even before now, they auctioned 48 and 43 bids were won by their cronies. We know their game but Nigerians aint fools. Venezuela experience is loading for our government officials soon. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Jagermeister:so this justifies it? what about the vehicles seized just because they felt they can. even when i was prepared to pay all the taxes? tell me have you ever imported any goods or vehicles to nigeria? I have, it's ussually a nightmare trying to clear goods at the nigerian port, they will deliberately frustrate and extort you so much you would want to forfeit your goods or vehicles, i bet you are not speaking from an experience, so CHILL! 3 Likes |

Darkseid: This is rather a display of ignorance that's unacceptable... you have to get yourself accustomed with the constitution and act of NCS to conclude that they do not have rights to impound vehicles illegally imported... until you have proven otherwise you cannot condemn NCS actions of seizing cars 2 Likes |

Jagermeister:you sound like you know what western countries do right, but you are far from it stop deceiving yourself. Other countries duties are so miniature that no one even complains about it. Nigeria as a member of wto has no right fixing import duties for cars more than 25 percent of the purchase price. But in most cases you guys charge even 100 percent of the car value. I don't know for sure but if you people are not killing businesses with export duties companies wouldn't be running to Ghana calling you people demons. 1 Like |

Darkseid: My point is that one cannot bribe a custom officer to cut corners then turn around to blame the officer for collecting bribe. Nigerians tolerate bribery culture then blame the receivers of bribe, that is nothing but hypocrisy. Before you claim that the bribe givers had no choice, please visit a UTME exam centre and see how desperate candidates and their parents tempt invigilators with various bribes. Do you think the owners of those smuggled auctioned vehicle were saints who don't know how to bribe ? 1 Like |

ikp120: I would rather you are objective with your point! I wonder how an enlightened person would compare Dangote Company ( a corporate organization, with no emphasis on religion) to Jaiz Bank ( Which clearly calls itself an Islamic Bank). Please make your researches well before making comments. 3 Likes 1 Share |
