Jerry Gana And The North. by Kagarko(m): 6:32pm On Jul 05, 2017
Jerry Gana is truly on his own, in a fool's paradise. But who is Jerry Gana? For those who don't know him, Jerry Gana is from one obscure village (the name of which I have forgotten) about 3 kilometres from Doko in Niger State, the road to which is a footpath up till today. A Christian from a Muslim family, the Chief Imam of his village, as I write, is his uncle. He was a classroom teacher in ABU Zaria, a professor of geography that has been elevated to prominence by the very people he now hates and derides with passion. As a very bad Christian, he hates Muslims and Islam without bounds and uses every opportunity to showcase it. A bad Christian because Christianity exudes and radiates love, compassion and empathy. Any christian that does anything contrary is a BAD CHRISTIAN. He has spiritedly tried to use religion to sow seed of discord, hatred and anarchy in the north for a long while. We remember his alleged role in the formation of the Hydra headed dreaded boko haram that almost consumed not on only the north but the whole country. How he was alleged to have secured the release of it's founder, Yusuf and his partners- in -crime on three occasions as revealed by the then Governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sherif on National Dailies. Jerry is yet to deny it up till today. One was tempted to ask " what was the relationship between Jerry Gana, a Christian leader, and Yusuf, and a muslin cleric? Your guess us as good as mine.
Have we also forgotten his role in late Governor Suntai's saga when Jerry became a Taraba indigene and a political leader who gave Suntai clean bill of health ostensively to forestall emergence of Suntai's Deputy, a muslim, from exercising the constitutional powers conferred on him in event of incapacitation of the Governor?
Who is Jerry Gana representing? Northern Christians (who did not give him their mandate) or people of the middle belt? Joseph Tarka started middle Belt movement in the First Republic purely on nationalistic basis. I don't know how old Jerry was then but Niger Province was certainty not part of it. When his Excellency, the Sardauna of Sokoto and the Premier of the Northern Region, was asked " who will be your successor?" Without a second thought, he said "Makamman Bida" indicating that Niger Province was and is still an integral part of the North and NOT middle belt. But even J. Tarka retraced his steps and teamed up with Sardauna in NPC. It is the likes of Jerry Gàna that have changed the letter and spirit of middle belt to a religious monster meant to destroy the north for purely selfish reasons.
But let it be told that the game is over. We shall no longer allow self - seeking and greedy individuals use religion to divide us again. We are resolute about this and there is no going back. Northern Christians and Muslims have decided to join forces to fight evil people causing disharmony in our society. Jerry should look for other means of becoming relevant because I can bet with my life that Jerry can not win Local Government Chairmanship in his constituency in Niger. I challenge him to test his popularity.
What has he ever done for his people? He allegedly bought and paid for Sunti Sugar company for about N600m with questionable sources of funds. What has he done with it? That company would have generated hundreds of jobs for Nigerlites and other Nigerians but because he didn't work for the money, the company is still dead.

Enough is enough for charlatans and mischief makers in the north.
May God bless the North, it's citizens and our dear country, Nigeria.
Thank you.

A group, Middle Belt Patriotic Front has dissociated itself from the three months quit notice issued by a coalition of Arewa Youths to Igbo living in the northern part of the country, saying that it does not want to be associated with the north.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna Wednesday, the group said states in the North-Central region as well as southern parts of Kaduna, Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe and Adamawa states should not be categorized as belonging to Northern Nigeria. Spokesman of the group, Nasiru Jagaba said as a key region in the country which paid heavily in fighting for the unity of Nigeria, it cannot fold its arms and watch events degenerate into another civil war and dissociated the Middle Belt from the recent call by some youths in the north on Igbos to leave the region.

“For the avoidance of doubt; any recourse to threaten any of our brothers from other regions will be met with stiff resistance from the Middle-Belt. We also condemn in the strongest terms, the perceived patting on the back by some Arewa so called Elders to these mis-guided Arewa Youths whose conduct is inimical to the peaceful and cooperate existence of this nation. “ “Please let the world be advised that the Middle-Belt is not part of the north and nobody has our mandate to speak for us. We call on other regions of the country to consider us as Middle-Belters which is our identity,’ he said.

While reiterating it’s support for the restructuring of the country, the group called on the South-West; South-South and South-East regions to partner with it to see to the restructuring of the country saying unless it becomes totally inevitable it strongly supports a united Nigeria that is restructured for the common good of all its federating units. He said the current hostility among groups in the country would have ceased if the Hausa – Fulani community in the country had exploited the communication network in the region.

He accused the present administration of double standard by turning blind eyes to the killings being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen. “Another case-in-point is the clear double standards exhibited by this Government that did nothing when thousands of Christians in the States of Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Adamawa, Southern Borno, Southern Kaduna and parts of Southern Nigeria were brutally murdered by the Fulani herdsmen during almost a decade of a killing spree; but were quick to send a strong military contingent within a week to Taraba state when it was alleged that a few of these same murdering Fulani herdsmen had been killed in the state.

This speaks volumes of Government’s body language.” “The Middle-Belt has been turned into a theater of undeclared war by both Boko Haram and Fulani Herdsmen (globally adjudged to be the 1st and 4th deadly terror groups in the world). “Their reign of murder and terror on our people and the southern regions of the Country has continued unchallenged, while the government of the day, which is well disposed to contain them has instead protected them; thus creating a deep mistrust from all other regions of the country against the far northern regions” he said.
