Jim Ovia – Zenith Bank, Visafone (Banking, Telecom)  Jim Ovia (born November 4, 1951) is a Nigerian businessman who founded Zenith Bank in 1990. After gaining degrees at bothSouthern University and University of Louisiana at Monroe, he attended Harvard Business School. He served as CEO until 2010, when he transferred into the chairman role. As an accomplished banker with over three decades experience, he introduced a great deal of innovations into the Nigerian banking industry. Jim Ovia is also the Founder of Visafone Communications Limited. He is the Chairman of the Nigerian Software Development Initiative (NSDI) and also Chairman, National Information Technology Advisory Council (NITAC). ONITSHA —The Nigerian Air Force, yesterday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, IVM, Nnewi, Anambra state for research and production of spare parts for its fighter jets. The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, told newsmen in Nnewi, Anambra that the collaboration between the company and the Air Force had kept its jet fleet running for months now. Abubakar, who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Planning, Air Vice-Marshal James Gbum, said the MoU would further solidify the collaboration, improve local content and engineering as well as save the country a lot of foreign exchange used in importing the expensive parts. He said: “Our war efforts will be in vain if we don’t do something to ensure we get spare parts because some of our fighter aircrafts that have formed the back-bone of our struggle against Boko Haram, were once down due to lack of spare parts and mainly the break assemblies of these aircrafts. “The Air Chief immediately ordered our research and development cell in Kaji to start to research into this break assembly overhaul. They went ahead and carried out the research. However, the first proto-type they brought couldn’t pass the test. “The Nigerian Air Force later discovered that Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company at Nnewi, Anambra State is very capable of collaborating with the Nigerian Air Force to achieve the required standards of overhauling our break assemblies.” |

Good. But we are not competing with Yoruba na. Igbo are every where. There are more Igbo hotels in Lagos than Yoruba's,in abuja same,in Kaduna,kano,jos Igbo top investment their. Go yo Ghana, Gabon, Cameroon, Benin etc Igbo have more investment than Yoruba. there are More Igbo industries, pharmaceutical, paint,beauty, food processing, haulages, transport, than any tribe combined. It is a well established fact that ndigbo hold the totem of MSME in Nigeria. The sad thing is that i am personally close to two people on that list and they will cringe to know people are just posting their business to the whole Nigeria to see and find something to disturb them with. I was hoping to see where you'll say, i own number 12 and 19 on the list. You hide your own or perhaps you are a failure and you expose peoples personal business on the internet without their permission? if you were really interested in Anambra state, you would help attract industrialists for the place by contacting those people and telling them about how they can set up or discuss how they can set up a small gas plant together and py electricity bill to maintain its running than buying individual diesel generators for each factory. What value does this post add except exposing your deep inferiority complex with a burning urge to prove something? As a sage once said, if you are approaching a big city like Johannesburg, you see "Welcome to Johannesburg", but when you are approaching a tiny rural town that desperately wants to prove something you see "Welcome to the Great Sportman City of Caly" .
