i made my observations from first hand experience. so many of my friends ran in IUO Okada after Jamb frustrated them more than twice. so i know what i am saying when i say private university is more like a saving grace for those who could not pass jamb

Back when I was in Unilag , whenever we saw (rarely) our vice chancellors or the past ones we knew they were qualified for the job. Years and years of reading. Some had multiple degrees both home and abroad.

Apparently they'll make anyone a vice-chancellor these days. .as having a P.H.D in religion is considered valuable knowledge and qualifies you as the head over an institution.

If students are failing it means the tutors are failing woefully, that a sizeable number of students can't graduate with good grades simply means that the academic system and environment through which they passed through is terrible, if there are still any academic institutions that try to impact anything it's the private unis and that's simply the reason for their having so many first class graduates, that side A is for brilliant students, and not for god.
