@op .....I know this won't be easy, but it works......when u marry from another race or culture, there are things u should expect.
U can't think d same way and for the fact that he's an adult means that u can't easily convince him to totally forget about his culture or think same way as u do.
.
For him to be living in ur country means he has sacrificed alot for whatever reason best known to him .....e.g food, families ....other stuff
But it is ur responsibility to also make him happy as much as he's trying to make u happy..and just make him feel like u understand how much he has missed home.

Forget about what ur friends, colleagues....
