We are in the era where people post everything happening in their lives on social media. There is basically no form of privacy anywhere. As a matter of point, people post who they are dating, the babymama, vacation with bae, the day they accepted the proposal, the day they broke up and so on. No form of decency and decorum anymore.
here is a list of 5 simple reasons why social media ruins your relationship than you ever imagined.
1. You post your relationship status on social media, automatically you are telling people who you are dating and you give them things to say. They go into the dm of your partner and begin to tell them things. they even anticipate your breakup, lol.
2. Social media is filled with different people, the bitter ones and unhappy ones throwing shades and trolls at your relationship. they just want to see you fall.
3. Many times, you are more interested in posting about your relationship on social media, that you forget to work on yourself and maybe the relationship. You are carried away by social media likes, comments, posts and ignore your relationship.
4. Most times, you follow celebrities, slay queens, Gucci guys and you use their relationship standards to work on yours. You expect what you see to automatically happen in your relationship.
5. There is tendency to stalk. In this case, you are either stalking your ex, your partner or they are the ones stalking you. Staking does not allow you go forward. You typically just remain on the same spot.
6. Nothing is private. Here, everyone sees you and all you do if you let them. once you out your relationship in the face of social media, there is every tendency you break up earlier than planned.

I believe it's a personal choice.

Everyone is entitled to what they think works for them. Where it's wrong is --

When you think it proves love by flaunting your partner*

One thing about social media and many that preach that social media and relationship are enemies are the ones that will always want to see other people's relationship on the net.

Relationship will crash not because of social media but because those involve want it to crash. What is social media without your relationship in it?

If you don't want people to know about you and your relationship just stay away from social media.
