You don't get it. Going outside the country for treatment was strategic. How do you treat your health in the environment where over 60% of the powerful people in Nigeria wish you dead because you have made business as usual (aka curruption) very difficult for them.
It's either you do not know what is going on or you are just blinded by hate.
how do u justify medical tourism by saying buharis stay in d uk was strategic?how did u come 2d conclusion that 60% of d powerful people want buhari dead?how did u do ur research 2 come 2 that conclusion? who are these powerful people u are talking about?did buhari not no about them b4 he promised 2 end medical tourism? Didn't he no about them b4 he asked Nigerians to patronise made in Nigeria goods&services so as to save d forex&d economy?

He is welcome back even though his presence is as good as his absence, his medical vacation has only succeeded in exposing n accentuating the hypocrisy of himself, his supporters n his party Apc who forgot about "international best practices" n choose to give all sort of excuses to cover up n justify a shameful conduct, his vacation has also exposed a very dangerous lacuna in the constitution, knowing the nature of our politics n considering the status of a vice or deputy in our system,it's true to say that an acting vice or deputy is just a paper tiger as the principal would always find a way of curtailing the acting for selfish reasons no matter what anyone may say outside, even now in osibanjo's case.A constitutional provision in form of the American 25th amendment is definitely needed but I can bet with my life that buhari n APC would term that as "corruption fighting back", I trust that the opposition is detailing all the exposed lies, deceit, hypocrisy, double standard n short comings of buhari n APC for an interesting 2019.
my brother there's no lacuna in d constitution. I always tell people there's no perfect constitution. D problem is with d custodians of d constitution, their deceit & treachery 2d people of Nigeria. Section 144 of d constitution adequately addresses this buhari health saga.pls read it u will b amazed how much Nigerians don't no

Well said.

What is lacking in Nigeria is the fear of God. Instead, we have a lack of conscience, lack of original thought, lack of fairness, band wagon thinking, a laziness to research history and above all a populace that worships money and who are blinded by tribalism and selfishness.

If Nigerians were truly tired of the status quo where a few bandit politicians have stolen us blind then they would research history and realise that Buhari is a lifeline from God to rescue the Nigerian Treasury from Thieves and by implication rescue the down trodden Nigerian's from a life of poverty.

But will Blind Tribalism, Prejudice and Bigotry allow this ?
How buhari intends 2 rescue d down trodden by spending half of d year in a foreign land remains a mystery. d biggest problem with Nigerians stems from ignorance which we make up 4 in sentimentalism. this is fueled by religion & ethnicity.we no more about what God says about our leaders than what our constitution says about them.Nigerians are ignorant of their rights.Nigerians don't no what 2 expect from their leaders.instead of demanding accountability & good governance, we use religion & ethnicity 2 cover up our inadequacies.for instance, we say its God who made buhari or Jonathan or obasanjo president so don't oppose them.we forget 2 remember that it was also God who made Hitler chancellor of Germany. D president is weak&not medically fit 2 discharge d functions of d office president. D constitution in section 144 clearly States what must b done in that instance. Its not hate, its not tribalism, its not selfishness. Its just d constitution

Buhari Protest: THINK!!! PICK YOUR BATTLES. Let Yorubas Handle This.

Can we be smart about this for once? Can we use our heads East and South of the River Niger? Can we just play the fool for once and end up
as actually smart?

Buhari is a product of Northern grievance. I have written endlessly on this. The North feels cheated out of power which has led to Boko haram etc. They also believe their backwardness and destruction of their lands and death of their people is the fault of the south. Their warped thinking blames us. The great PDP was sacrificed on the altar of the Northern angst. Muazu that would have inherited the presidency from GEJ sacrificed his "heritage" just to placate his people. GEJ and Abdulsalam and and the the nation's
power brokers all sat in Aso Rock and made the sacrifice. It is not that they like Buhari or hate GEJ. You saw the welcome of GEJ in Kano.

Today, with all the tension in the land, Yorubas have kept quiet. Now again Igbos are the ones going "live" and rioting to remove Buhari. They are the ones leading "resume or resign". The Northern clerics and their almajiris are seeing this. They have been listening to Radio Biafra, watching Nnamdi Kanu and now Igbos are BEING USED to fight Buhari... fight the North as they see it. Why cannot some people sit and think.

Is Falana dead? Has Tunde Bakare become cripple? Has Wole Soyinka returned his Nobel Laureate award? Is Punch and Tribune and all Yoruba papers out of ink? All the Yoruba voices are silent out of tact and brilliance and intellect. But some people think it is their head that should be used to break coconut for Tinubu and Osinbajo to make coconut "candle" and coconut rice.

If this goes awry and the Northern clerics begin their preaching, like 1966, guess who they will blame for trying to take power from them? The Yorubas that will directly benefit are "kprorring" and folding their hands across their chest and hands gripping their lips together in silence. Other "constitutional voltrons" are risking the safety of our people up North perhaps for peanuts paid surreptitiously to a PROFESSIONAL DEMONSTRATOR from Kogi and or an ambitious Igbo man whose activities will be interpreted as the actions of all Igbos. (I have no problem with ambition. I actually like this chap. But some people aren't thinking)

My point? We have NOTHING TO GAIN from a Buhari return. We have NOTHING TO GAIN FROM A BUHARI RESIGNATION. El Rufai and Tinubu will be the beneficiaries. Everything will remain the same. However, it will be on record that Igbos (interpreted as all of the south not Yoruba) will have inherited hate and anger for taking power from the North and CHEATING THEM OF THEIR TENURE.

It is time for Ohaneze and Igbo senior voices to tell some people to stop risking lives.

LET YORUBAS AND HAUSA-HAUSA FULANI face their Aso Rock "Game of Thrones". For the rest of us, Let us wait for 2019 and see what we can do. Fighting over Buhari resuming or resigning simply shows people have no idea how to PICK THEIR BATTLES.

The problem with the present provision in the constitution is that it is the members of the FEC appointed by the sitting president are expected to take the very critical step which is almost an impossibility, no specific time frame is even given when the step should be activated n so there is a lacuna,a provision stating clearly n specifically how long the president should be away from his sit after which his state of capacity should be determined, n also any of the vice president,Senate president, house speaker or leader of the opposition should be empowered to request for such determination when the time is due will just do justice to this Kind of situation, yes there is no perfect constitution anywhere n that's y the constitution should be a continuous work in progress in view if unforseen situations, the process of our constitutional amendments should also not be too burdensome as it is now, a 70% vote by the actual members of the national assembly should be enough to effect an amendment, 70% is wide spread n a tough task enough for national acceptance, the present process is just too complicated, burdensome, counter productive,n retrogressive. what do you think?.

my brother I really appreciate ur post very articulate. U made very salient points which cannot b ignored. D issue with FEC invoking section 144 is a question of loyalty to buhari as against loyalty 2d constitution and vice versa.that's y I said its d custodians of d constitution that are d problem. Yes I agree that no time frame was set 4 this issue 2b resolved but it's obviously not a question of time frame but that of political loyalty. D issue of time frame can b argued either way but if d question of buharis medical fitness can b answered then it won't b a problem that's y this govt is working hard to present a sick man as a healthy man
