lol you will come to find out that everything done in this world is symbolism. i prefer to view it as symbolic of someone naked in hades going through tribulation and then eventually emerges purified like GOLD. now is that a false sense of depth to the initiate and a false sense of power to the one doing the initiating ? maybe so but even they are unaware of the forces within them that is compelling them to do what they are doing.
