Her wife caught in bed with another woman but d wife didnt say a word but rather left d house peacefully without saying a word and later in the day she(wife) came to the house prepared a nice food for the man but went the man came home, she gave him the food without asking d man what he was doing with another woman and the man rejected the food thinking that her wife want 2 poision him because of what happened during d day. if its not poison then she may just put a knife into his heart or beat him to death. whatever his wife will do is "justified" for her as she can claim temporary insanity from seeing such act in the family bed.
her husband will get the punishment that SHE sees fit, like they say "till death do them part"

he will have to sleep with one eye opened for the rest of his life or expect to come home one day and see his wife being banged by some stranger.

Sincerely speaking, when you cheat on a woman or hurt her feelings and she makes an elaborate scene because of that, that means she still loves you and probably wants you to make ammends but when she is quite aware of your adventure and she feels undisturbed (like this woman) ,I think there is fire on the mountain!

He needs to seriously beg for forgiveness from his wife !

he would have simply just asked the lady to take 6 spoons from the food before eating
