bigpicture001:Actually, yes the court can give it. It is called custody and the woman won custod. The man did not lose his paternal rights, she has no rights to change their surname or state of origin either. |

Josephjnr: Individual family in many such cultures are changing the system. Reasonable and informed fathers in many such culture are breaking the taboo and sharing estates to female daughters especially if the man had wealth. This sense of entitlement has made many first born sons unprogressive in life. 2 Likes |

Idiotic lazy man. I am an IBO woman and my properties will be shared among my children who are both genders, if his sisters are well to do and he is a poor man, whom he still go to this sisters to raise him up. In stead of him to appreciate his dad for such he is disobeying his order, let him continue he will son join him where he is very soon. Lazy pig, if he is wise he would have at lest tell the lawyer to redistribute his own share to the sisters because he hope to hustle for his own. 1 Like |

What if he gives birth to only female children. Will he be happy if his uncles deprive his children from him properties? 3 Likes |

Some culture/tradition were jettisoned long ago due to civilization. Only the miserly ones would stick to an inheritance sharing norm where only the male and or the first son would benefit. After all, killing of twin children was in practice before civilization abolished the barbarism. Culture is dynamic. Eschew greediness! 1 Like |

NtoAkwaIbom: Lies. My friend's Dad disobeyed tradition and willed his abode equally. He was a typical Bini man who believed gender should not depict one's fate. He trained all his Children irrespective of their gender. Times have changed.... A lot of persons I know have done similar. I think you need an update. Gone are those days. I'll advice you work hard if you are the first son so you don't end in shock. I for one will share my property equally among my Children irrespective of their Gender or Position it's not going to be a surprise to them. The useless tradition made First Sons very LAZY and irresponsible. Who wants a lazy Son? 5 Likes |

frenzyduchess:Nearly everyone condemned the dude for refusing his female siblings their fair share irregardless. Your notion of a guy solely depending on his father's wealth as being lazy is quite different from my notion of a guy waiting for his own share of wealth while still working to expand the wealth base of his father. Not every entitled person is lazy, that's your wrong notion I was tryna correct but you're being hot headed to let it sink in. I find your level of reasoning quite disturbing little miss. 1 Like |

bigpicture001: Who told you there are no Igbo people serving as judges in the Supreme Court of Nigeria? Justice (Mrs.) Mary Ukaego Nzenwa Odili (who is the wife of former Rivers State Governor Peter Odili) is from where? She is from Amudi Obizi, Ezinihitte-Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State. Justice Nwali Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court is from Amofia-Ukawu, Onicha local government area of Ebonyi State. Justice Chima Centus Nweze also of the Supreme Court, is from Enugu State. frenzyduchess:Your insanity is full blown, you must be quarantined to save the world and I'm well assured that sane minds are a long pole far off from being in contact with you. No matter how a bitch you become of yourself to your lecturers, your education is already a waste. Little wonder you symbolize dumbness . Good enough, you're a freebie to your lecturers. By definition, a bastard is an illegitimate offspring of an unmarried parents. By Implication, your father wandered away leaving your mother to whóre alone all by her ass. So, the good news for you is, a bastard has/had a father but whether or not he's alive behooves you to find out. A warning to all parents; Never send a bitch to school, she drains your monies down the hole. A bitch do not know the meaning of a bastard but she sure knows the true meaning of a dick.
