Hello Fam Happy to join this thread and i have been reading a lot. My mum is applying for a US visa to attend my cousin's wedding in September and she runs a small business where she sells drinks in packs. I am the one sponsoring the trip and I earn about 200k per month. I got married late last year but i have not done any change of name, so basically our surname and address remains the same. My cousin is sending IV and a written invitation letter, she will be staying with his sister so basically accommodation and feeding is sorted. For strong ties my brother is still in boarding school and her husband is in Nigeria too, so is her small business and I am too. Do you think she stands a good chance and any advise that can help. Thanks |

Haryoureendey4:BnB means bed and breakfast . I meant AirBnB which is a kinda of marketplace enabling homeowners with a spare room or with a spare home to rent out to tourusts or visitors for an affordable amount. YOu could get a nice room in a nice building for $60 per day. |

mhoreh: You can sponsor her trip but I will prefer if her husband/your dad is the one sponsoring the trip. Your salary is not strong enough to sponsor her. This is my opinion. |

JFK is cool. I just returned last week and I'm flying back next week via same good ol' JFK. The only thing is some renovations are ongoing in some of the terminals so you may miss many of the favourite shops, otherwise just relax and enjoy your trip. jazzy: 1 Like 1 Share |

isyomar:Available appointment dates in lagos starts from October. I don't think this has ever happened in the history of US Nigerian embassy. I guess a lot more people want to run away hence the higher refusal rate. |

Good morning Good people here. My wife/kids and I have two different interview appointment dates (July 16 and 18). The error was knowledge gap at the time of scheduling the appointment. We planned to travel as a family during the summer and we wish to be interview same time. My question is how do I correct this anomaly so that we can have same date and time while maintaining one of the dates chosen. Thanks |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by oothoney: 10:34am On May 24, 2018 |
isyomar: you can do emergency request if its really important. after paying and scheduling your interview, you make emergency request, give a reason, upload supporting documents and if you get approved..you can get a date within two weeks of your application |

House and the moderators and everybody thanks for this help you are doing may God bless you all.You have boosted my confidence to do this thing my self instead of wasting huge sums on agents. I made an application by myself in early 2016 for b1b2 and was denied and handed a blue paper. Now I have a challenge. In February or so I contracted an agent to do family vacation visa for me but my wife refused we continue with agent.Lost over 200k visa fees and "admi charges" to the agent. We switched to another agent but this time i refused to make any payment apart from visa fees that I will only pay when visa comes out. The problem I have now is that I dont know the content of the application form that was filled for me and my family as the agent insist I should come back and use them. Please house how do I void all these agents applications and create a clean application filled by myself ? Please help me. Thanks to all. |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by Iyayoyo(m): 11:30am On May 24, 2018 |
OmoBendel24: yes and i answered yes and not regular. seems the appointment portal is down |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 3 by OmoBendel24: 11:47am On May 24, 2018 |
Iyayoyo: Lolz, the appointment portal isn't down anything. Since your answer is yes, you wont get no date, you probably have to wait till you sit out the 6months, US Embassy doesn't want our money again, they want us to ensure we build more and maybe enough satisfactory ties before we come back, instead of letting us just overload their interview dates with repetitions. Have you not heard or read interview dates are now in October, even with all the refusals oh? It shall be well with our government! For those that will answer no to my earlier question, and are probably doing a date change on an already scheduled appointment, it means you have exceeded the number of times you can get to that level of attempting to reschedule for the day, rest till next day. Do your available date check with another or a dummy account, and if you find a suitable date available, you can then rush to change date on the actual account. Good internet, good strategy will help.... 1 Like |
