Last time I checked, Nigeria does not keep any good statistics....so how on earth did they come up with this evaluation

it appears to me, that some lazy ass researcher, just sits in their cushy chair, props up a list of the usual suspects, and tables what ever evil data they wish to table.......

Errant nonsense....and the usual Africans will just accept and be nodding their head with out questioning the authenticity...in other climes someone would have being suing someone to court over this ish
I think it has to do mostly with the three factors excluding sexual violence. That's ACCESS to HEALTHCARE, CULTURAL PRACTICES and ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES.

New York City isn't in the top ten?? Bullsh*t!! What about the 'rape' liberals keep complaining about?? By their cries you'd expect NYC to be number 1!

Everytime Lagos.... Some weeks back I heard Lagos was also ranked 3rd most stressful city to live in
Has eko 'baje'ed?

activistjohnny:
Lagos is the eighth most dangerous megacity for women to live in, according to a Thompson Reuters survey. Cairo, capital of Egypt, was rated the world’s most dangerous megacity for women while London, the best.

The poll which sought the opinion from some 380 experts in women’s issues, was conducted in 19 of the world’s biggest megacities (as ranked by the United Nations) between June and July 2017.

The cities were ranked based on four major factors – sexual violence, access to healthcare, cultural practices and economic opportunities. Karachi in Pakistan followed Cairo, and next in line was Kinshasa in Democratic Republic of the Congo, then the Indian capital New Delhi.

Women’s rights campaigners in Cairo said traditions dating back centuries made it a tough city, with discrimination rife. Delhi and Sao Paulo emerged as the worst cities when respondents were asked if women could live there without the risk of sexual violence, including rape, attacks or harassment. Via: TheCable

Non representative statistics.

Who carried out the survey. What medium was used. How many Lagos women took the survey.

How many countries ( not state) has a fully air-conditioned affordable transport system. Health centers in Lagos providing ease and very affordable medical care. Food and fruit very plenty.

Besides I've told you people to stop comparing a child and its ancestors.

No issues with the criteria being used....however where did the statistics come from, was it collected or was it just assumed....

because to make such judgement you need to take statistics which will be used to compare and rank the cities....Me and you live here, where will you get such statistics to make such a pronounced ranking.....

Shut up! During slavery nobody complained too else they would've been dropped in hot oils. Google Dina Ali or search for Dina Ali on twitter and see how Saudi women are been oppressed daily. They cannot complain outwardly that's why they would rather commit suicide or self mutilation.
faheez:

you are not intelligent, how will you call what's happening in Saudi Arabia oppression? did their females complain to you? their law that they all agreed to?

This can only be the outcome of research conducted by an armchair analyst in London. Any analysis based data collected from fictitious people who have never been to Nigeria would only result in such jaundiced and laughable conclusion.

Based on objective analysis, ladies let us be honest, Lagos affords women more security than capitals like Mogadishu in Somalia; Damascus in Syria; Baghdad in Iraq; Riyadh in Saudi Arabia; Nouakchott in Mauritania; Juba in Southern Sudan; Khartoum in Sudan etc.

Comparing Lagos to the places you mention is unfair to Lagos, you're too generous to the compilers of the statistic. No South African city on the list, Lagos is probably safer for women than it is for women of many European cities if there's honesty or objectivity involved

In all indices, Lagos is not fit for human habitation.

Out of curiosity, I visited the notorious Apapa wharf expressway to Tincan 1st gate. I also went through a few street in Ago, Okota. On slow days, I went around Lagos. I can authoritatively state that Lagos is a zoo. Quality of life is near zero.
