Any Church where a man is the central figure and the identity of the Church is not of God. Jesus has been uprooted from that Church.

Now, before you credit your pastor for that generosity, can you tell me what he does for a living?

This o.p sha!!! you must have received a token for you to be vehemently defensive like this, but mark my words, in the next 30 years you will be ashamed of your post because people's orientation about religion would have changed singnificantly in black africa that it would be so hard to see large religious gathering talkless of a religious leader affording a private jet, it is happening in advanced europe but as usual africa is running on a slow operating system.

This is actually a very useless thread abeg. First: As much as It's commendable, all the money he is using for charity was never his in the first place, It's all still money from the worshipers...

Secondly: Who told him there are no more poor people in Nigeria to help. He's a pastor for God's sake! The money for that jet would still go a long way to help people that has not felt his benevolent touch. Just my own opinion. Any pastor using all these exuberant luxury is not a true man of God, Jesus was never this flamboyant

Churches are registered as charities under the laws of Nigeria. These gifts weren't given by David Ibieyomie but by his registered charity.

Tithes and offerings given to him are regarded as gifts under the law and are not taxed.

If a charity does charitable works, it's no difference from a company trading or a school teaching its pupils. That's what they were formed to carry out. If not for poverty, they're buying Noodles for flood victims and people are hailing them.

Collect money in the name of Jesus Christ but spend it like Pontius Pilate.

The above pictures is not upto 1% of the good things the pastor and it's members do for people...

I would have appreciated him if he did all these with his salary not tithe and sweat of the church members

Your call for churches to be taxed is understandable.
However, for a country like ours now, if a foundation/Not-for-profit organisation (including churches) is impacting society in these ways, saying they should be taxed more just to "get at their leaders" only to give the taxed sums to our perennially underperforming governments would be a big minus to society.

You may well be saying " just to get at these men of God" you don't care if the society is the worse for it. and that, my friend, would be really sad to think of.

Reasons why some people will remain cursed. They don't see what these men of God go through but when God started to bless Them through lived they (pastors) blessed, that is when u see people start making noise.

Finland has the most stable economy in world today. There are less than 20 churches in Finland.
Switzerland has the second most stable economy in the world. Switzerland has less than 30 churches.
Denmark is the third most stable economy in the world. Denmark has about 23 churches in it.
These are countries considered largely atheist in nature, yet so blessed.
Come to Owerri town, SE Nigeria, from MCC junction to Toronto junction, there are 36 churches. That stretch of about 5 km harbours 36 churches, more churches than the entire Switzerland.
Between Owerri and Mgbidi l counted 97 churches and gave up.
According to CAC, Nigeria has over 23,000 registered churches.
We have more churches than schools and hospitals combined.
More pastors than doctors and teachers combined. Everyone is born again. All are covered in the blood of Jesus. All are filled with the Holy Spirit.
Yet none of those claims reflects in the expected moral elevation of society. We are still one of the greediest, laziest, corrupt, deceitful, hypocritical and hateful set of beings on the planet today, with all our Christ and Holy spirit.
Our people need to draw the line between religiosity and stupidity or between spirituality and traditions."
