According to that source Nigeria and South Africa are the 2 most corrupt countries in Africa? Please!! Go check Transparency internationals CPI for the facts.

Not even Nigeria could be more corrupt than Somalia ,CAR,DRC, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Sudan ect ect
The rainbow NATION, which was just supposedly liberated from apartheid just 2 decades ago has no business being even in the top 100 list.

Too much hype. South Africa is still-born. You died before you became.

Yet we rank 67th least corrupt nation compared to Nigeria being ranked 136th, but hey if you don't think we belong, why don't you contact Transparency International, im sure they would listen to your argument, seeing that you're an expert on all thing South African.

STTEP is a private military company and NOT your country's national army. STTEP also did no mercenary work in Nigeria, they were just trainere like the Israeli NIRTAL private military company we contracted for similar training. They did not fight or lead us into battle.

Tanzanian national army, not a PMC is actually COMMANDING and LEADING South African national army into battle....they rule over your army of photogenic weaklings
.

Even worse! You had to fork out money you don't have (being a poor country and all) for the services of a private South African company. How useless must your military be? Nigerian taxpayers fork out money to sustain your army. And the army is not good enough. More money is spent to buy another military service from another country grin grin

Pathetic!

Cooperation with brothers in arms Tanzania is beautiful and glorious. The entire world cooperates, but the buying of mercenaries because a military is useless is unheard of. You even voted a former dictator into power cause you were pissed off. An old man with one foot in the grave rode on the ticket that he had what it takes to kill off Boko Haram without mercenaries.

Glorious is our cooperating with Tanzania. Brothers who freed us from apartheid while Nigerians were suffering civil war strife and dictatorship. Shameful is Nigeria's buying military services from South Africa. Pathetic nation, this Nigeria.

South African military is paying millions of dollars to Cuba, tiny Cuban Island for basic mechanics, basic pilot trainers, LOL.... SANDF pays a foreign military for basic services because your army and air force are not good enough.....tax payers' money from a shrinking and declining South African economy is being forked out to foreigners on a tiny island nation.

MTN is forking out $ 5 Billion punishment fine into Nigeria's pocket while South African stock exchange suffers the loss of value on MTN shares.

All I see is Nigeria vigorously sucking free milk from Mama Soweto's two brèàsts at the same time.....till Pretoria's nïpplës get very sore tonguetongue

I don't see where South Africa is buying a military service from mercenaries to help South Africa with an ongoing war. But I see Nigeria having to fork out money it does not have during a war. To buy help from South Africans. Shameful stuff. Countries worldwide rely on mutual respect and collegiality to form alliances. But not the pathetic Nigeria. It has no goodwill and has to buy soldiers from other countries. You should be ashamed of the country you call home.

Seeing as you brought the fine up, how embarrassing that a country issues a fine, and then its president summons himself to the leader of the country where the fined company originates. To discuss the fine and explain himself. If Buhari as a president was worth his salt, he wouldn't be summoning himself to South Africa like a naughty boy to discuss a fine that his country has issued. Your country is embarrassing. Issue fine, extend deadline for payment and then go explain yourself to Zuma....in Nkandla! grin

No wonder Biafrans have had enough and they now want out of the zoo.

No wonder they can't defeat boko-haram, and are ranked last in Africa.

$2 billion meant for arms stolen

In Nigeria, $2 Billion in Stolen Funds Is Just a Drop in the Corruption Bucket

Nigeria has failed time and again to effectively beat back the Boko Haram extremists wreaking havoc across the country’s northeast. Officials there have tried to shift the blame to Washington, claiming American policies have prevented Nigeria from acquiring the weapons needed to win the fight against extremism. But it turns out the real culprits may have been closer to home.
On Tuesday evening, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the arrest of former National Security Advisor Sambo Dasuki, who he claims stole more than $2 billion that should have been designated to purchase weapons and other equipment to fight the group. More than 10,000 civilians and security personnel are thought to have been killed by Boko Haram in recent years, including one incident last January when hundreds — and possibly upward of 2,000 — were reportedly killed in the strategic fishing port of Baga. The group is best known in the West for the kidnapping of more than 260 schoolgirls from their boarding school in the town of Chibok last year.
According to Buhari — the onetime military leader who beat out former President Goodluck Jonathan in March and took over the presidency in May — Dasuki awarded “phantom contracts” to buy a dozen helicopters, four fighter jets, bombs, and ammunition. None of the equipment or weapons were ever supplied to the military, and he said Dasuki pocketed the money.
Dasuki, the official who arrested Buhari when he was overthrown in a coup the first time he led Nigeria in 1985, has denied all charges.
J. Peter Pham, director of the Africa Center at the Atlantic Council in Washington, D.C., said Wednesday that “there is personal history between the two men.”
For Dasuki to have stolen $2 billion out of a relatively small defense budget would be “getting into an unconscionable amount of corruption,” Pham said.
“I’m not saying that means Sambo Dasuki is innocent, but I don’t believe in coincidences either,” he said.
Two billion dollars may sound like a lot, and for a defense budget of just $6 billion a year, it is.

We are as well equipped as SANDF if not better. Every African army is poorly equipped by international standards.

Every conventional army in the whole world has poor training in counter insurgency until they acquire it.

He was referring to the 120 men he trained who had no previous COIN training.

That excludes the 5,000 NA troops trained for COIN in Russia and Pakistan, the 1,000 trained by Israeli PMC, the thousands trained by USA at Flintlock, Britain and China also trained new COIN forces for Nigeria.

As at now Nigeria has the best trained COIN army regiments in Africa and one of the best in the world.... 100 years ahead of SANDF

NO!! how can you be better than the country that trained you bro?? South Africa invented guerrilla warfare we are experts in the field, only one country in Africa has the necessary credentials to be ranked as one of the best in COIN warfare and that's South Africa mate!
