PDP NATIONAL CONVENTION – RACE FOR NATIONAL PUBLICITY SECRETARY: REP. EMMA EGWU REITERATES POSITION OF NORTH CENTRAL & KOGI PDP TO THE CAUCUS

As preparations are in top gear ahead of Saturday’s National elective convention of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Emma Egwu representing Idah/Ibaji Federal Constituency has reiterated the need for elected delegates of the party to ensure a seamless process devoid of rancor.

Hon. Egwu made this position known to the National Assembly press crew yesterday evening and underscored the importance of ensuring a hitch free exercise. In his words, Hon. Egwu said that “it is important for us all to work together as one family.

The North Central as a zone have taken a position as per allocation of offices along the lines of fairness and equity. This position of the zone has also been domesticated by the Kogi State chapter of our great party. It is therefore imperative for every member and delegate of the PDP to ensure strict adherence to this directive as handed down by our leaders.” Hon. Egwu further advised the various candidates to eschew such acts which are capable of promoting unnecessary strife within the state chapter of the party.

He said that “even though every candidate is welcome to declare interest in the position allotted to Kogi State, candidates should exercise caution as means of ensuring that by declaring such interests, they do not undermine the general interests of the party both in Kogi State and the North Central Zone especially now that a position has been taken by the various organs that make up the party.”
