I know some guys and ladies will rush to ask me what about my mother, aunt, sisters and girlfriend (don't have one). But hear me out. I am not saying this because I so many ladies have turned me down or because I am broke, I am coming from an intellectual point of view and the kind of comment you make on this thread will determine how intelligent or dull you are.

Well, this 2017 has been a bad year for men. You will hear stories like

Woman stripped unclad after trying to curse her ex-boyfriend with charm for dumping her

Woman pour hot water on her husband because of argument over socks

Woman cuts off her husbands peniis

Woman stabs husband to death because of text message

Woman stabs husband to death during argument (she got only 7 years in jail by the way)

Woman bites off ex-boyfriend's testicles in anger (this one is on my blog right now)

I have never heard of much men have done to women these year in terms of domestic voilence which is because women are standing up againtt it. I know that men are brutal and have injured ladies a lot in the past and that is why I advocated for these NGOs which fight against domestic voilence and even imprison men who beat their wives, yes we have that here in Nigeria.

But nowadays women are becoming devils, male brutality has reduced and men are becoming more reasonable, but what is happening to the women, you see them on nairaland ready to insult guys which I normally took as a joke, but the ones in reality are wolves in sheep clothing.

I remember one who burnt down her boyfriend's house because he broke up with her.

Another who drowned his car because he broke up with her

Another who smashed his car and burnt it because he broke up with her

All these happening in Nigeria and beyond. So I am wondering what is going with ladies.

This is a thread for guys (ladies can come in too), to discuss this and not just overlook it. The woman that looks soft today will be a devil tomorrow.

Why didn't you use India as an illustration?
The crime against women there, would occupy a sizeable portion of your pie-chart. That illustration is probably not convenient for you, that's why you're mentioning England and Wales.

You ain't looking at things from my perspective and I am not convulsing, because that's the diversity of humans. You should do same. You have no verifiable statistics to prove brutality by men have dropped. I stand by that.

3 Zimbabwean women raped a man, I know that sad story. A random man...that's not domestic violence. Marital rape or male rape in a relationship isn't making news, I don't even think it's as common as other form of domestic violence against men. You say don't ignore facts? Then you should respect them as well. Have you not read about how vocal indian celebrities have been about violence against women? The "Bell Bajao" (Ring the Bell) campaign actively endorsed by Amitabh Bachchan, Rahul Bose and Boman Irani; The "men against rape and discrimination" (MARD) campaign? All of which were responses to violences which affected them personally. Farhan Akhtar had a female colleague raped and murdered before becoming associated with MARD. All in all, the involvement of indian celebrities and other public figures in the ongoing campaign against violence against women in India, increased awareness and resulted to an increase (of over 1000%) in the Circle of 6 downloads, surpassed only by the US. Circle of 6 is a mobile app that puts you in a virtual group of six at any given time and also gives you access to hotlines designated to respond to rape incidences.

It's unfair to ignore India on account that women pay groom prices and still include England and Wales where no bride price is paid either. In old England, women were married off with dowries which is effectively in tandem with India.

I read your original post and it was alright. I took it to be centered on the increase in violence (or its reportage) against men. Not necessarily a comparison of the violences perpetrated by men and women and how they've declined or risen in recent times. But the ensuing back and forth with Pocahontas has exposed your heavy bias and the way you pick and choose what elements of fact you want to apply.
